About
Aspect Visuals is an independent visual research and media aesthetics project exploring the intersection of beauty, technology, and advanced visual systems. Drawing inspiration from early 1990s digital media, corporate futurism, signal processing, broadcast design, and fashion imagery, Aspect Visuals synthesizes thesedisciplines into a cohesive design logic emphasizing structure, clarity, elegance, and functional futurism.
The Aspect Visuals Process
All finished images are manually composited using GIMP, Linux, and Bryce 3D.
Each composition is constructed from multiple image layers and may require many hours of manual editing and refinement.
No presets, scripts, or automated image-generation workflows are used in the creation of final compositions. In some cases, AI-generated source material may be used as a model, object, or background element. However, all compositing, visual direction, editing, and final image construction are performed manually.
Each image functions as a visual collage composed of numerous individual elements that are transformed into a unified visual environment.
Core image parameters are manually adjusted, including:
· Levels· Tone· Colour channels· Saturation· Chroma· Blur· Posterization· Indexing· Dithering· Atmospheric effects
The objective is not merely to combine images, but to transform them into a cohesive visual world informed by the graphic design language, fashion aesthetics, and multimedia imagery of the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Visual Motifs and Source Elements
The project involves the collection and creation of recurring visual motifs, including:
· Fashion editorial models· Chrome and metallic sculptures· Rectilinear architecture· Geometric primitive structures· Marble, glass, and reflective material textures· Urban photography and abstract environmental backgrounds· Bryce 3D landscapes and atmospheric environments· Graphic templates and translucent overlays· Scanlines, dithering, and broadcast-style image artifacts
Each element is individually processed and integrated into a larger visual system.
The result is a body of work that explores a distinct visual design logic rooted in the technological optimism, multimedia graphics, fashion imagery, and corporate futurism of the late 1980s and early 1990s.
About the Creator
Aspect Visuals is the work of an independent visual artist, designer, and researcher with a lifelong interest in media aesthetics, digital imaging, visual communications, and emerging technologies.
Through the study of photography, graphic design, signal-based imagery, and cultural futurism, the project explores how visualsystems can communicate ideas of beauty, sophistication, and technological progress.
Aspect Visuals operates as an ongoing investigation into the relationship between human expression and advanced media environments.
