While I always want to write about Mooch, my dog (I still can't believe I'm a dog owner), I don't want it to take over my life.

I don't like people who treat their pets as kids. It is still an animal. Yes, it's a great companion, and yes, it displays emotions somewhat akin to a human, but at the end of the day, it's a four legged creature that lives for you.

And I can't stand people who only talk about their kids all day long. Just me I guess. I'm heartless, I know.

I love Mooch. He's getting more obedient everyday. After 3 weeks, I can finally let him off the leash late at night, because there's a good chance he'll actually come back.

I have no illusions of grandeur. The stupid mutt will probably never walk off-leash in the day time, but to run down the street only to have Mooch fly past me and then finally coming back home - well, I am as proud as can me.
