Wow, the internet is slow in this little corner of my space. I'm not sure if it's my parents' wonky router, cable modem or the lines themselves, but let me tell you, trying to surf the web is an exercise in frustration.

I went to "woman's lane" (Lue Yun Guy) today in Mong Kok area, bought some trinkets - but you have to really bargain hard to buy anything.

Take for example the salt/pepper shaker I bought tonight. They wanted $59 originally (all HK dollars), then went down to $40, $30, $25. I walked away. After a while, the lady runs over, taps me on the shoulder and said, "Twenty dollars."

My brother couldn't let it go, and I bought one too.
