As kids, I prefered snow over rain.

You could play with snow. You could build things, throw it at people, and fall in it without too much pain.

Rain got you wet - and miserable. Walking to school in rain was the worst feeling ever.

Now that I'm grown up an adult, I much prefer the rain. You don't have to shovel, you don't have to clean it off your car, you don't have to drive and tolerate with the rest of the idiots on the road whenever there's an accumulation - and really, it's kinda dumb to be building snow forts at my age anyhow.
