eric: btw, for your macro shots, try shooting at a smaller aperture and using your tripod to get a wider DOF.

ummm... not a whole lot going on. i started an aquarium a few weeks back, but half of you already knew that. still have to find a rock or two, since my frogs really like to hide and right now they struggle to hide under anything and everything, including but not limited to underneath the small plant leaves, the heater, and each other (just last night i had a small stack of frogs in my tank). tried taking pics but its way too dark (even during the day), and ive been too lazy to set up lights to grab a decent shot of anything. blah.

oh yeah, so im in the middle of an email scrabble game with Justin right now. its our second game, and he gave me a sound beating the first round to the tune of a 77 point margin. id give a link to our game, but itd be way too embarassing for me.

ok, back to work.

i'm all for the resurrection as well. yeah, it's a little bit ghey, but people will understand. you can start a new blog or something that way you won't be reneging.

dan, did you mean to post (your last post) on cc or your other blog?

paris pictures posted, but they're kind of boring without explanation. i put up a simple index page written in php, but it apparently only works with firefox. oh well. we should all go somewhere together at some point.

Thanks for liking my picture. I'm rather fond of it myself. Have it on 3 different computer desktops, it's one of my fav now, because I love how there's three bands of distinctive colours.

Hey Yee Cheung, welcome to the cousin place thing. Good to hear you're back safe in the UK.

Nothing new for me here, mostly been working and unpacking (moved into a new room, no longer a supply closet). My bike chain slipped off this morning from being frozen. I still biked it in though hah.

That is a beautiful pic Eric, I put it as the desktop on the communal computer in the house. Great to hear about Dai Kau Kau. My mom didn't seem alarmed last time she called, so I figured if she's calm about it, it can't be too bad.

Nice to hear from you. Hope all is well. Very proud of you that you are studying in the UK. Hope you don't find it too lonely. You are probably having a great time finally being away from the parents. haha!

Anyway, all is well in Toronto Canada, colder than 10c, we're about -1, -2c, which is very warm for this time of year. Incredibly, we are getting up to +11c tomorrow, but getting a lot of rain and very windy. The weather is very strange.

I've decided not to go back to HK. Baat Fu is doing better from what I hear. At least he's no longer in ICU.

Other than that, everything else is going okay.

i am now in Uk and just started school for less then a week.
this is the first time i use this message board, u r welcome to let me know more how i use it and what do u usually put on here!

this is my exam month, though just 3 exams (not a lot), it will be still a bussssy time, as one course working is comming up soon.

here is still warm in UK around 10 degree C, i know UAS is getting cold, so keep warm and take care of urself!

back from france safe and sound. when are you going to hk, eric (if you've decided)? do you have any idea? dad forwarded me one of the emails so i have a partial of your conversation with him. i can guess at the implications but i'm rather confused by some of the discussion. is anyone else planning on heading back?

Folks.

Some very bad news. Our Dai Baak Fu is very, very sick.

If you can, try to make a last effort to make it back and say goodbye. Doctor's saying "days."

He's already in a semi-conscious state most days.... I'm not medically inclined, so will not write more about his situation. I was told of how bad it was, and in my limited knowledge (3 seasons of ER doesn't really cut it), it is NOT good.

Draining fluids from the chest is bad.

Justin: Dad's been trying to get a hold of you to let you know. I hope you can get this msg soon.

If I can get holidays, I will be going. Ticket will be $$$$$$$$$, but I think in this instance, it may be worth it.

things are well here. it's kind of cold (not excessively cold though) but it's sunny most days--at least the days where we're awake early enough to see the sun. i done some but not all that much sight-seeing. just a lot of walking around and eating crepes. my favourite so far is going to the arc de triomphe. i'll post some pictures later.

eric, i hope your trip turned out well and that you had a great time. too bad i couldn't come down. see you next time around...
