For some reason, I'm disgusted with TV.
I can't stand watching it. The thought of sitting there for even one minute staring at the television, choking down whatever the station is feeding me makes me want to mental puke. I'm serious now. Most of you TV viewers, be it casual or hardcord - and when I mean hardcore, I mean as soon as you come home the TV comes on, and doesn't get shut down until you fall asleep. Whereas casual is one to two hours a day, watching only your favorite shows and then shutting it down for something else. No matter who you are, as long as you watch TV, you're probably thinking, "losir is nuts." Perhaps. I know this much, public North American TV bores me. I know there are still good shows on TV. Heck, I've seen some myself at other people's houses. However, the thought of having to chase a series week-in/week-out, waiting for the adverts to finish, etc, makes my skin crawl. For the 2 years that I followed ER and The Practice weekly, I'd now rather not know if shows like those still exist. I can't stand the thought of having to clear my schedule (as if I'm busy....sheesh!) just so I can be home to watch it, or better, tape it and watch at my earliest convenience. Okay, so I watch TV on my PC like a proper nerd, so I don't tape as much as I record as MPG onto HDD. Maybe it's my short attention span, or worse, my fear of commitment, but I can't imagine doing any of that. The odd thing is, I'll wait patiently for the next episode of Top Gear to be encoded and then put up on a torrent site for download - which I've done for all four episdoes this year. I also downloaded all the Apprentice and Apprentice UK episodes. Yet to this day, I have not finished watching Apprentice yet, but the UK version I was long done. Again, I don't have an answer for you. ....You don't always find answers when you read my blogs. Sorry. |
