My shower life has been extremely dissatisfying in the last week.

You see, the plumbing is messed, and as such, the water doesn't really come through the shower head anymore. Most of it just squirts out of the toe tester tap.

So what I'm left with is a tiny tinkle of much too hot water, followed by chilly water, then hot, then cold, until I finish washing my hair. Then it's cold water the rest of the way through, save the hot water that comes out from the bottom.

I tried getting the landlady to fix it, but she's unwilling to call anyone. She says I should put a bucket underneath the tap, collect all the water, and then dump it onto myself when it's full.

That's fine for camping, but not for home use. I am starting to dislike taking my nightly shower - I can't even brush my teeth in the shower anymore, hot water doesn't last long enough.
