It's not that I am a fatalistic person, it's just that I believe when bad things happen, it usually happens to me first.

You know what? I used to think that it was asinine to have a car's fuel door be located on the passenger side of the vehicle. Afterall, who the heck asks their passenger to fill up?

Apparently, most intelligent designers came to the same conclusion - usually Japanese vehicles.

Until that is, you have to wait in line to fill up, since my fuel door is on the passenger side, I've noticed one thing, I leave the pumps faster than most because everyone is queuing up at the left pumps. That is a good thing, yes?

So this evening, low on gas and pumps at a reasonable 73.7 cents/litre, I decided fueling up would be smart - except I really had to pee. I mean, really.

When I pulled in, I was stuck behind 2 cars already on the right side, a BMW 325, two Audi A4s, and another European vehicle of non-descript. That means I was 6 cars away, while all the left pumps were virtually empty! Did I say I really needed to pee? Turned off the heated seats right away.

Then I came home, wanting to wash my hair quite badly, and was greeted by my landlady. "Oh yes, finally decided to fix the shower, you won't be able to shower for a week."

....Sweet.
