crazy idea: how about hang out in the suburbs? that way we could maybe spend less time driving there/back and more time hanging out [not in a car]. plus, mccormick's new policy proved somewhat pricey tonight (long story, ppl who were there will understand) and im not terribly eager to try my luck twice in a week. plus, i kinda prefer to be cheap since i got some potential unexpected expenses coming my way. stupid flat tire, but thats a story for another day...

i think you should just start looking for a new job, dan. and look for a white corporate employer so they won't be so cheap. they may not be as flexible about giving you unpaid leave, but at least they won't force you to take 1hr lunch breaks or stay until late in the evening...

alas, my LONG stretch of work days has begun. from here until my trip (wednesday), i work 9 shifts... see y'all on the flip side (i.e. next year).

booo its McCormick & Schmick's. of course ill be in town, booooo. just realized not long ago that minus the week last year that i was stuck sitting on a couch as a cripple, i havent had more than 3 consecutive days off since i went to italy back in thanksgiving of 02. time to get a new job? you bet. We're back on the 29th but I'm leaving for Madison again right away. Don't know if you'll be going up there, and I don't know about Roberta. My guess is she'll be sleeping for 3-4 days straight. Give our home a call while you're there just in case.

But yeah we're in HK now and the weather's nice. Just got here, so we haven't seen any of the relations yet. A measly 13 days, not enough to see everything. Hopefully I can come back some other time. Our parents are here longer btw.

i most likely won't be able to make it. i'll be working 12/22-12/28 straight. and then i fly on 12/29 from milwaukee. plus... i need to save up my pennies so i'll actually have money to spend on my trip.
