Do you believe in jinxes? I do, or at least, now I do.
I wanted to take a picture and blog about it last weekend....

I was in the company elevator last week when I finally took note of the warning message. If you look, it's placed at the very bottom of the panel, way below normal eye level. It instantly came to me: It's perfectly eye-level when you're sitting on the ground with your back against the wall. And the reason why you're sitting against the wall is because you've been standing for a long time. Hence, by having the tag so low, they are implicitly saying to not expect a quick rescue if you ever get stuck -- and that's why the tag and light is placed at such a low level.
Right, not very interesting. Maybe a tad insightful, but nothing spectacular, and definitely not a great read.
Well, I beg to differ. So this morning I'm riding up the elevator, when all of a sudden, it stops.
Stuck between the parking lot and first floor. I waited 45 minutes to be "rescued".
Anyway, my theory was correct. When you're sitting on the ground, the sign and light is DIRECTLY at eye level.
....Sometimes I hate being right.
