Oddly enough, the original version I heard of the song was Japanese. I think I even saw the concert vcd of that song. Definitely Japanese.

Regardless, I thought the piece was nice. So I used it.

Eric: btw, i happened to have powerDVD on my computer so it worked right away. interesting choice of music there, heh. i wonder if anyone else realizes its the instrumental version of a korean song.

oh well, i got a tough week til friday, then off to italy i go! actually im so swamped that its not even sinking in yet. hopefully by wednesday or thursday... and i still gotta pack too! waaaah!!!

oh happy day. Finally some news about the blasted camera. Besides Justin, did anyone else get my little gift yet? :))

I feel so dumb, using a DVD compressor to output to .MPG format, which I thought wouldn't need a specific video codec to view it. :((

What a waste of a surprise. I hope to all those who can view it enjoyed it.

I sent out an email earlier on how to get it to work by d/ling a software DVD program, and p.i.r.8.ing it. :D Have fun.

finally, we're getting somewhere with the camera repair. after getting 2 emails ignored, i finally received a repair estimate/confirmation letter in the mail from fuji. the cost of repair was lower than i had anticipated (ive heard of people getting similar repairs done who got charged a lot more) so i guess so far so good. my reply is on its way back, and hopefully they wont take forever in the actual repair itself.

i cant speak for anyone else, but as for me yes, the red usually IS from the alcohol.

the red faces isn't from the alcohol (I don't think) the camera has a tendency to really pick up reds.... so don't sweat it.

ah.So you have received the video. COOL!

You will need a SOFTWARE DVD Decoder. I think I messed up royally by using DVD compatible format in the software.

ugh. I will send out an email on how to getting a software Decoder installed. Either use PowerDVD or WinDVD. Do a search on Kazaa or whatever, and download the p.i.r.a.t.e.d. copy. Or something like that. I'll find out and email soon.

At least you got pix to hold you over. :D

Eric - first things first... i dont know what on earth is up with fuji. ive emailed them twice now and i havent gotten a single response. youd think a week and 3 days is more than enough time to reply to an email asking a simple question. another update to come once i call them and give them a good yelling. as for your visit, i think ill be content with your answer(s) to Justin's questions for now. also, any chance i can get ahold of the pics you took from your camera? not sure what the easiest way is, but if its too much of a hassle then dont worry about it.

Justin has already seen this, but heres a link for everyone to check out. make sure youre on a decently fast connection.

ok, i must be pretty desperate if i'm updating cousin check instead of writing this godawful paper. at first, i was using the excuse of catching a cold and needing the rest but the paper is due in 35 hours so i need to at least be awake. and it looks like i'm going to end up sick anyway. i've also watched 21 episodes of malcolm in the middle (my favourite tv show for now) and that's pretty sad that i've put that much time in to procrastination. ok, enough rambling.

eric, if you could, when would you come down? i think it's a worthwhile endeavour for you to come down to these parts... see the area. i don't know how logistically it'd work, but i'd be willing to chip in.

also for eric: what codec did you use for your christmas gift? i still haven't gotten the video to work yet. it was a very nice gesture--thank you very much. now the folks get to see our red faces after panorama. but oh well...

I've got a headache. Just wanted to share that with everyone.

I have 15 days of holidays, I was thinking of coming down to your area and leech off all my cousins/uncles/aunts for 3 whole weeks. The problem is $, of which I don't want to spend any, becaues I'd rather save it for my HK trip plane ticket.

So if I do take the time off, I'll just be slumming around my own hood. Oh well.

Other than that, I gotta get back to work, and think of updating my own blog.
