Everybody at work is surprised when I tell them I did not enter into the charity Quake III Arena tournament. I used to be a pretty big Quake-head, and loved to play. But it's been at least a year and a half since I've played Q3A, and have no interest to develop the lightning quick reflexes and aim that is required to be competitve.

When it comes to video games, I'm not much of a team player. I can't stand the idea of team assaults. I prefer the much more selfish and satisfying idea of me-vs.-them. I'd rather have no one else to blame, instead of whining about a teammate who should have captured the flag when he had a chance. Bah. Forget that nonsense. Give me a rocket launcher and some space....
