Cousin Check

Wednesday, October 31
well, didnt do anything Halloweenish today. put on a little yoyo show of sorts at a halloween-alternative party that mr chou (my employer for chicagocards.com) threw for the church kids. i was somewhat surprised that they actually liked it. i thought maybe theyd think yoyos were dumb, cuz i mean, who the heck yoyos in this day and age?? ok i think im going to turn in early tonight. i have to go in for a blood test tomorrow morning, so that means fast for 12 hours beforehand but the problem is, i kinda forgot to eat a full dinner tonight, so now my stomach isnt very pleased with me :(
I thought Halloween was a pagan ritual bordering satanic. That's why we don't celebrate it at our house.... Larry, you can dress up as a "cereal killer". Bring a box of fruitt loops, tape the handle of a knife to the box, as if you've been stabbed, and voila! Make sure you tape up the end of the blade really really good, so that you won't get cut. My friend did that one year, and it was totally hilarious.
Well, anyone doing anything tonight for Halloween? I'm staying inside since there's no trick-or-treating to be done and I don't want to drink. Fortunately, we have a miniparty run by our apartment complex, and that can only mean free food (however bad). That's all I'll probably go for, since their miniparty things in the past have sucked really badly. No costume either, yay. I hate wearing costumes. Okay, back to work...
havent been particularly busy, but just cant think of anything to post that wont bore anyone... ok, not that my previous posts have been too exciting or anything. ok as you can see i am not fully coherent, so off to sleep i go. BTW, Lawrence, havent seen you on IM lately. where you at? Monday, October 29
well I figured that I didn't want Larry to be the ONLY one allowed to use Duh to start off a blog, so I figured I'd confuse you guys a but and do a Duh. :) Working hard busy.
almost 3am and im still up. argh! let me explain why... earlier on this evening, Rich and i were discussing the server switch for DU, and how we "lost" a few posts temporarily as a result. he tells me that Jeff was in the process of updating and fixing it, so in the meantime, dont post any new deals. so i thought to myself heh, i can live with that, since thatll be a nice break from fighting the slow connection that im cursed with. plus, mondays are key days so we try to post more stuff than usual. relieved, i continue to surf around for a little longer, and chatted for a bit. then as i was about to get off, Jeff IMs me "were you going to post any deals tonight?" confused, i told him that Rich told me that he was told not to post anything for now, and Jeff was like "when did i say that??" well, beats the heck out of me! Rich was the one who told me, that fool! so as it turns out, Jeff has a test or something tomorrow morning so he had to study, and Rich is STILL out in boston, so that leaves me with my ultra slow connection to do the night's work alone, and i JUST finished. ok, like im sure you all had to know this, but im tired and irritated and im already off IM for the night so i had to vent somewhere, ha ha ha. i will spare the details next time. Sunday, October 28
funny to see Eric begin his post with a "duh", ha ha ha. hmmm... weird. one of my 'computer geek' friends [i use that phrase in the best way possible, hes not really a geek, per se] downloads pirated movies/tv shows up the wazoo, or at the very least he doesnt seem to have any problems with finding them. maybe i can ask him where he gets his loot next time i see him. well, i did it again... slept the entire day away. what a horrible feeling. i think im going to go out to do some reading to relieve myself of some of the guilt.
duh, was trying to d/l Iron Monkey VCD, then realized that it was .bin, which means I'd ahve to burn it onto a CD.. didn't feel like it. One thing I definitely miss is the pirating scene. Now I don't know where any warez or gamez are anymore. Sickening. I wish I was still connected w/ that bunch, it'd be a heck lot easier to find software. :) Now I have to sit around and wait for something to appear on the more public warez channel. NOT FUN! I've sat through 2 nights, and still haven't found what I was looking for. Not that I condone using pirated copies for more than 24 hrs. Saturday, October 27
Yeah so we watched the movie with Jessica, Daniel, and Leena. It was awesome! Probably the best kung-fu movie I've ever seen, because it's so fluid and yet is constant throughout the movie. Well, you've all already seen it, so not much more to say I guess. Weird though, that most of the voices were dubbed into Cantonese. I wonder what the original language was.
duh fools, im glad to see that you guys are actually making an effort to hang out. Iron Monkey is definitely worth the watch, even if youve seen the "original" already. just watched K-PAX this evening. i thought it was a pretty good movie. very well written and creative. i suppose theres not all that much dialogue-wise, but Kevin Spacey was extremely convincing in his character. definitely worth the watch. good night. Friday, October 26
Duh, so me and Justin were supposed to go see Iron Monkey today, but he was at Intervarsity for so long that the theaters were closed by the time he got out. Intervarsity is for fools! Well, so I guess we're going tomorrow instead. Boo. Thursday, October 25
doing a late-night blog check that i probably shouldnt be doing, but oh well. just got done doing massive updates to DU. the other two guys (Jeff and Rich) were out of commission today, sort of. Jeff went to sleep early and Rich is out in Boston visiting his girlfriend. that fool... oh well, so i was left to do all the work alone tonight. going to Noodles tomorrow for lunch with bchang :) its actually not too bad, price-wise. butter egg noodles by itself is only $4 eve w/tax, and just under $6 if you decide to add chicken. i usually get water, so thats all i end up spending. ill have to see if the locations down here have some kind of frequent noodler program that i could take advantage of. i remember the one at UW gave our cards where every 10th bowl of noodles is free. well, it looks like i eat there pretty darn often so i should probably look into it. ok, going to sleep. long day tomorrow, i think.
Yeah the downtown Noodles is pretty good. I'm hooked on a burger joint near my lab. It's got great burgers and of course curly fries. Kind of expensive though, about $6 a meal for lunch. Still, I go about once a week just because I'm addicted. Wednesday, October 24
Larry, that sounds so like weird. I haven't had any probs publishing any blogs. Thank goodness. Can't think of much more to say. Enjoying reading your comments tho, keep 'em up. I wonder why Justin never bothers to blog. Must be an introvert thing.
yeah Lawrence, i notice that sometimes your page doesnt load for some reason. dont know if that has any correlation to your publishing problems. thanks to Justin, ive developed quite a liking to Noodles & Co. at first the only location i knew of was in UW campus, but since then, ive found out that there are not one, but TWO locations near me! one is downtown Naperville (where Lawrence used to live, just the next town over) and the other one is freaking 5 minutes from my school! needless to say, ive been a pretty good customer of theirs ever since i learned of these new locations. i think ive eaten there 3 times in the past 2 weeks, which isnt THAT much but i guess thats somewhat often considering its not exactly a fast food joint. ok, so i have a confession to make... so far the only thing ive ordered there, ever, is butter egg noodles. yes, im a big fluffy chicken when it comes to food. plus ive also heard from ppl how other noodles there arent that good, etc. so it scared me into sticking with my butter noodles. so yeah, if anyone has any suggestions as to what else is good there, please dont hesitate to let me know :)
Arg, my stupid blogs won't publish onto my web site. Keeps saying my password is wrong, even though I haven't changed it at all. I think there's something wrong with our school's server. Tuesday, October 23
sorry, no time to update, very busy here. I've seen Iron Monkey from way back when, so I can pass on this one. So the puck is worth money. Good stuff. Hall of Famer too. Nice. It might NOT be worth too much, but hey, at least you've got a neat story to tell. :) Training Day rocked. Good movie. More I think about it, better it got. :P That's it.
nah, i doubt its worth that much, but if it is, let me know, ha ha ha ha. i could sure use the money. just because i work at a sports card store doesnt mean i know the value of any given piece of memorabilia. well, i am at sylin's house right now working on a wedding video, once again. this one is in its final stages, so hopefully it will be completed by the end of this week. *yawn* Monday, October 22
Wow, that's crazy. Probably worth in the hundreds. Oh, what do I know about hockey memorobilia? Nothing! In fact, you should know the worth from being in the store so long. I just finished my midterm an hour ago. Not too hard, but lots of writing. Filled 2+ blue books (I hate those things). Yay.
my puck was authenticated by Upper Deck, complete with holographic stickers, matching certificate, the works, bwahahahahaha. [they had a representative there] oh well, its not like i would sell it anyway. at least not yet. >:-) anyway, i am still at school, but about to go. later all.
Duh! I must have been tired when I wrote the first post. Yeah, now that you tell me who he is I remember, oh well. That's really cool. Think any of those things'll be worth lots of money soon? Just kidding, signed stuff isn't worth too much without an authentic seal. I think.
duh Lawrence, look what you wrote earlier: > Is it dubbed or subtitled? I hope it's dubbed. anyway, Tony Esposito was a goalie for the Chicago Blackhawks from the 70's til early 80's, entered the hall of fame in 84. he signed a puck and a couple of cards for me. Eric, when was the last time you updated your DAT files for McAfee? there are some pretty brand spankin' new viruses floating around out there.
I know the name very well... Tony Esposito. But I can't place who he is. (A baseball guy, I know, I know). What team/years did he play? I was hoping for subtitles. The jokes are always funnier in Cantonese. Saturday, October 20
the movie is subtitled, but in cantonese so im sure none of you will have any trouble following along. i read subtitles for only about the first half hour or so, and still understood the movie fine, and i got the worst cantonese out of all you fools. anyway, had a long day both yesterday and today, but wont bore anyone with details. well, i got to meet Tony Esposito today, at the baseball card store i work at. he was there for a free autograph signing, so i got to meet him. very nice guy, took the time to talk to the people he was signing for. anyway, just got back from watching Training Day. pretty good movie, but im not a good movie critic so i thats all ill say for now. as you can tell, i am somewhat out of it right now. please excuse my feeble attempts at a blog entry. Friday, October 19
Yeah I've been meaning to watch it, just didn't have the time. Plus the closest theater isn't showing it, which means I have to go a long way to find it. Is it dubbed or subtitled? I hope it's dubbed. Thursday, October 18
here's a funny little flash movie. in case youre watching this at work or something, dont worry about the audio. watching it silent doesnt really take away from it. anyway, just watched iron monkey... again. ive seen it a few years ago, on a plane, if im not mistaken. yes, i went into the theatre knowing ive watched it before, but i also dont remember much of it so i thought, sure, why not. im not sure exactly what they did, but they really cleaned it up. wasnt as cheesy as i remember it. anyway, Lawrence, if you havent already seen it, i think youll like it. ok, going to work a bit, then go to sleep. tomorrow might be a long day. Wednesday, October 17
Yeah, so on my blog today I talked about the show "Ed." It's really good, you guys should check it out. Wednesdays, 7pm, NBC. It's not hackneyed at all, there's no laughtrack, and it's still both funny and serious. Just feels like a very sincere show. Tuesday, October 16
Eric, not sure if youll go paintballing again anytime soon, but here's something i heard that works really well, supposedly. have one guy sacrifice him/herself by making a mad dash towards the enemy side, rapidly spraying all this talk about food is making me hungry now. going to eat dinner.
Laser Tag is for gimps. No pain, and people cheat because they try to cover their little reflector. Then again, people cheat too in paintball by not calling themselves after they've been hit. However, paintball hurts. It leaves big bruises. After a while, when you do get hit, you just sit out, b/c the pain is too much to bear. :) Indoor paintball isn't fun. Games are too short and the people who play at the same location lots know where to hide and stuff. Outdoor is good, there are many chances to flank people. Indoor you just keep shooting and hope to hit. A small amount of rain is okay, it does add to the excitement. Especially when you're trying to set an ambush in the brush, and the dripping of water onto leaves will make you VERY nervous and paranoid. But I've played in drenching downpour, and it's no fun. You guys should really try it if you haven't. The first couple of times is very exciting. Come up next spring, we'll go then. Summer months suck. Too hot and pesky bugs. What's really fun is when you all have walkie talkies with ear buds. That's REALLY cool.
Duh, I love China Buffet. I always eat enough, and the price isn't really too bad. Maybe like $8.50 US for dinner. Yeah, the oil can get to me, but I generally avoid the heavy sauce-stuff. I go with General Tso's chicken and some fried rice maybe, and lots of other stuff, especially the appetizers like pot stickers. Paintballing is outdoors? That's cool. I've got to try it, it's got to be so much better than lasertag. I hate lasertag because you can't run or roll or jump and stuff. Monday, October 15
heh, weird, i was almost gonna go paintballing this past weekend too, but the price made me think better of it. it was raining pretty hard, so that wouldve made things interesting too. Eric, you shouldve strapped your cam to your head to get some action shots. maybe next time.
maybe my standards for food isnt that high, but hey, if its [theoretically] all you can eat and the food tastes half-decent, im all for it. i think i eat a decent amount for my size, so buffets usually end up to being a good deal for me. i wasnt called "the bottomless pit" at U of I for nothing! :) anyway, dunno really what else to write. oh yeah, i had something to tell Justin, but i figure he never checks this blog anyway, so i might as well tell him over the phone or IM.
haha, Dan, that's funny. Liked it. Hey, I didn't know what else to write about, so I talked about my lame experience. China Buffet King? Nasty! I think we have one in T.O. I'm not a buffet kind of guy. It's just not my thing. Food is invariably mediocre at best and I don't eat enough to justify the cost. So I'm paying $15.99 CAD for a meal that's worth 4-5.99? No fanx. Altho last time I went to a buffet place for $20 a head, but it had all you can eat lobster. I had 4. (They weren't big....) In fact I think I finished them, and they didn't have anymore (so much for all you can eat... ) burp Sunday, October 14
Duh it makes me want to go to a China Buffet type place. I wonder if they have one here in Madison...
in response to Eric's 10/13/2001 post. [note: reading Eric's entry first might make a bit more sense] --- how to scam a free meal almost anywhere i dont do it, but its so easy its just plain silly. and wrong of course, cant forget about that, accidentally. obtain a disguise. please make it as convincing as possible. or if you found a mask that looks like someone else, thats even better. go inside any non-fastfood restaurant and start ordering as usual, eat as much as you want. smile at the waitress. the whole works. now, leave your check at the table, and proceed to leave. no need to tell the person anything at the exit cuz they have no way of knowing if you paid or not. say nothing to the person, because you normally wouldnt say anything to them anyway besides a quick "bye", maybe. discard disguise/mask in some bushes as you leave the building, in case someone is quick and starts chasing you down. imagine the surprise on their face as they try to stop someone they've never seen before, since your disguise was so convincing. i know its bad, and i havent tried it. but if i did have a mask, and i just thought if i had some malicious intent, i would have had free meals up the wazoo. i dont knw why i can think of stuff like this, but cant finish school. :? [i put in a closing italics tag purposefully, unlike Eric]
i had dinner at Grand Victoria last night. i dont even know how to begin describing it, besides that it was unreal. i guess "buffet of buffets" is a start. i mean, yeah im young and havent seen much of the world and i know there are many places out there that would blow it away, but man, its definitely up there compared to places ive been to so far. my friend JT got all 13 or so of us in for free cuz her dad's a VIP member there and you can get free meals from that or something. ive had a canker sore near the tip of my tongue these past few days (its still there) so i havent really eaten much the last few days, but man, i wasnt about to let it ruin my experience there so i ate until was about to explode, and i was somehow able to ignore the pain. hmmm... mind over matter? heh. Saturday, October 13
yeah, i watched it. i like him too, even tho a lot of ppl say hes a bad speaker and stuff. i dont really understand why. at least for me, i kinda like his style of speech. simple, yet clear and to the point. anyway, ive never been a speech coach or anything, so i guess theres not too much more i can say about that. anyway, i finally got my Droid Developer Kit!! the "computer" it came with is kinda cheesy i gotta admit, but i bought it more for the R2D2. its been my dream toy ever since it came out, and its great to finally have it. pic ok, getting tired and still gots work to do. Friday, October 12
Anyone watch the Bush speech last night? I thought he's a pretty good speaker. I'm just glad we didn't elect Al "Tree Hugger" Gore. Thursday, October 11
wow, just post/published and realized Lawrence was on blogger not too long ago. good to see things picking up again, heh.
heh, well the thing is all i need is one more math credit, and i dont think it has to be stats. i "struggled through it" before and got an F the first time, D the second time. unfortunately, only C's and better count as completed credit at my school, so its getting the hours that im concerned about, not the letter grade. ive pretty much stopped caring about grades years ago when i realized that passing a class was sometimes the most i could do. not sure who knows this, but i almost didnt graduate high school [on time]... barely scraped by with a D in my last history class (i actually earned an F) after last-minute meetings with my teacher and counselor less than a week before graduation. afterwards, attended a university i didnt deserve to be at, and now here i am. ha ha ha. the fact that im still in school is annoying of course, but hey, i realized the education system isnt for everybody, so i wont measure my failures according to it.
Actually, me and my friends were talking about it today. At this point, my class grades don't matter either. After this, I just go to work, no more school. And they won't care what my GPA was. So maybe I'm the last person now who should give advice about classes, heh. Though I suppose now I'm trading in hard work in class for hard work in the lab. Oh well, sometimes you just can't beat the system.
Dan, yeah, talk about self-pity. I got some. Get over it, you're better than me. You just don't know. I ain't kidding. When we're old and grey (okay, when I'm old and grey), we'll talk sometime, trade stories, yada. You see how much better you are. I can definitely see you struggling at school. It's not too bad. I'm not one to talk, as I've never graduated from U. But you just have to take it one class at a time, one math formula at a time. I know it's kinda ghey for me to be trying to boost you up. I'm just saying that there are worse things to worry about than a little stats class. I dunno. Maybe you should just struggle through it, and get a C? In the real world, it doesn't matter what you got once you have the job. Yes, grades matter, if they don't know who you are. But unless you want to be a rocket scientist, like Larry, then don't sweat it. hahaha. I'm really tired today, and the weather is atrocious, really feeling the beat down. I'll try to be better next week.
I really like the song "Chop Suey!" by System of a Down. I d/l it last week and probably already listened to it 50+ times. Emotional yet aggressive, a nice mix. Well I support any move to drop a class. It's better to have a withdrawl on your record (I don't know how COD does it, actually) than to have a D or worse. Only take stat if you absolutely need it to graduate/get into another school. In that case, don't drop it, I guess, haha.
as i was reading Eric's most recent post (10/10) last night, i felt like i was reading a story of my own life, except i dont remember ever typing it out. no i am not trying to start a pity party here or anything, but it was almost kind of creepy how much i could relate to it, even down to the "stick with a gut" part. well, i think i originally had more to write but i blanked out just now and i have to go to my bio lab soon. incidentally, no more funny stories have come out of the brainchild in my class. hes been pretty quiet since that first day.
ok, i think that was the last straw. more likely than not im going to drop my dumb stats class. this is supposed to be easier than the other stats class that i took and [essentially] failed twice, but im having a harder time so i dont think im even going to bother. i have a test tomorrow and the review we just had completely kicked my butt so im out. call me a quiter, but im not about to let a stats class slow me down when i could be taking a different type of math class. *grumble* Wednesday, October 10
whats wrong with taking a picture next to an ad? or is there a rule that you cant contort your body in certain ways in public? well, either way i guess i didnt get in trouble. school sucks more than work ever will. at least you get paid for doing something that sucks.
Not in Toronto you can't. I'm sure if you do this, you'll get hassled by rent-a-cops. Don't know if you'll get the boot, but definitely grief. Work sux. And that's all I ahve to say aobut that. Don't feel like being at the bottom of the mental foodchain. Stuck like freakin' chuck. Oh well. Anyway, what a drag. :) Monday, October 8
duh Lawrence, we're not in Hong Kong here. in this country, we're allowed to do stuff like this, i think. anyway, i am going to head out for a run soon. catch you fools later.
ha ha, thanks. am i one of the 3 people who read your blog, or does that make me a 4th? anyway, the lighting was bad because we took it during the day, and the sky lights made the backdrop way too bright. probably gonna retake them sometime this week during the evening. hopefully itll give me a chance to practice my 'blue steel' look a bit more. ok, about to head out to study a bit (gasp!). can you guys tell how bored i am? i mean, look how many short and meaningless posts ive made!! Sunday, October 7
Thursday, October 4
Dark Corrs? anyway, i am attempting to relax during this short period of time between classes and work, and im not doing a very good job. kinda tired and not particularly looking fwd to work. anyway maybe ill go lie down now. Wednesday, October 3
tired and at work. i guess i imght as well throw in my two cents: i dont watch TV. unfortunately, i find plenty of other things that take up just as much time, and probably even less productive. oh well. my mind is too numb right now to think of much else to say. 24 more minutes until i go home and start on my homework. yay.
220km/h is 136.708mph. :) There isn't one TV show I like watching much these days. I mean, I find lots of show entertaining, but I just don't watch it day in day out. I used to follow the Practice and ER, no longer. That 70's show is good, but I never check to see when it's on. Frasier is okay, but again, have no clue when the reg. hours are. I know that Sunday nite and Tuesday nites are motorcycle racing tho on speedvision. Watch a lot of TLC too. Gorgeous day in T.O. Snuck out for coffee on bike. Trying to take it all in b4 winter.
Duh I was on IM last night for a little while. I was watching lots of TV last night. Undeclared is pretty funny, and they simulate a dorm room pretty darn well. That 70s show is still all right, and of course I watched the Simpsons and the Daily Show. Those are the only two shows I just have to watch. Anyways, the link was okay, since I'm pretty sure I've seen something like it before except I think it was a real one (on the ebay server). How fast is 220km/h in m/h? Sorry, we Americans are too fat and lazy to do our own calculations. But it sounds pretty fast.
Eric: aw, you dont find that link funny? oh well. yes, time slowed down for me this morning indeed. it was very weird, and trust me, i dont count on this happening ever again. just like Eric, once i get lucky, there goes my luck for the next year or three. anyway, Lawrence, where did you go? i havent seen you around lately (on IM, duh). ok, im getting tired so i should sleep before i end up missing my classes tomorrow. Tuesday, October 2
What the heck is w/ that link. Gheyness. :) Yeah. I notice that too. Sometimes when you need to be someplace, time will slow down for you. Don't count on it happening a lot, just be thankful it happens. Of course, I was also doing 220km/h constant to get to work in 20 minutes, on a stretch of road that usually takes 40-45 min normally.
strange... this morning i got up 10 minutes later than usual, got breakfast at McD's (i usually dont), AND got to class earlier than ever before. funny how things work out that way sometimes. Monday, October 1
Geocaching prizes are normally pretty lame, from what I've read. But it's the thrill of the hunt, not the actual treasure that matters Larry. Although, I'm sure you could put more expensive toys in there if you want.... Dan, I figure Justin would forget stuff... :) I was just asking Lisa Friday afternoon if I should call Justin to remind him to make sure he brought EVERYTHING that's associated w/ the camera. I guess I'm a good judge of character, and realize that Justin would forget. Justin, you're pathetic. :P Never met Jessica before, first time. Nice enough person, a little quiet, but that's to be expected, since she's never met me. Otherwise, friendly, and nice. Justin, you got any designs on her? :) Larry, sorry we didn't mention about the trip more. It was a very last minute thing, and Justin wouldn't even have mentioned it if I hadn't called him 3 days before..... what a gimp. Well there's fujifilm.com, .co.uk, .ca, and .co.jp. But not ONE website informs the existance of fujifilmsupport.com. When I finally found it, I was able to d/l drivers for the camera. I had at least the USB cable, which i could get the pix from. What's really cool is that Win98 sees the camera as a removeable HDD. So I can actually view the pix w/o d/ling them first. What a thoughtful feature! I love it. Anyway, I just want to thank you again, and for Justin bringing it up. I'm having a lot of fun w/ it already. And it's such a conversational piece. Awesome. whee....
items ive collected from my geocaching trips: an american flag patch, a discovery channel zipper pull, and a burned mountain streams CD. its all meant for fun, and ppl usually do it for the adventure and not the cache itself. pictures of my slashed wrist soon to come! yes, i would hope that this it will be a cousins thing. bwahahahaha!
Sorry, haven't read the blog in a while... I didn't even know anything at all about the trip to Windsor. Where is it? Granted, I probably wouldn't have made it anyways, but I would have tried. So what did you guys do up there? I saw the pics, and I recognize Justin's friend, but I don't remember anything about her at all. Did you know her before, Eric? Geocaching sounds fun, but I certainly don't have any time to do it. What did you get out of the caches, Dan? Hopefully something marginally useful. I don't even know how long my winter break will be. I won't know until I decide which lab to work in for the next 4-5 years, and work out my schedule with my future boss. I hope he'll give me enough time to go up, and see if my parents think it's ok. Because I know my mom wanted to go up and see Eric sometime. Somehow, though, I think we intend for this to be just "the cousins" on this trip. What do you think?
Eric, well, so far so good... no booby traps or missing caches the two times i went (second time found two caches). the second trip i documented the entire hunt on DV tape, so maybe you guys can all eventually watch through it to see what its like. yes, the cameraman (me), the only one without a flashlight, eventually takes a tumble at the end of the hunt! about the cam... i bought the camera bag for you, as a lame late bday gift but then i never ended up being able to go up and stupid me forgot to say happy birthday at the right time anyway, so uh, no need to return or reimburse for it. anyway, i stuffed as much of the cables, smcards, etc into the bag as i could, and the rest (including manuals, software, docking station) i put into the cardboard box that everything originally came in. i brought the entire box up for Justin, with all contents accounted for. i had the privilege of seeing him [briefly] last night, and he told me he forgot about the box and apparently only brought you the bag (and what was in it). the manuals, software, and docking station should still be safe in his apt at UW, so perhaps he can mail it to you. boooooooooo!!! BTW how did you download those pics you took in Windsor then? im assuming you used your finepix?
Read about geocaching several months ago, sounds like fun. I don't have a GPS. Don't know if I could get into it, but it's certainly a great way to explore the local surroundings. Wondered if there are some deranged a-holes who's booby-trapped the treasure chest, or if someone stumbled upon the cache, and just took teh whole box. this is a weird world we live in. :) |
