Picture time kids.

Here's pix of my GTI frolicking in the snow. Dang, that looks cold!

I also bought a steering damper for my bike. A steering damper is like a shock absorber for your handlebars. Under moderate acceleration on the bike, the front end gets light. When this occurs, the front tire can (and does) bounce slightly off the road. If one of these bounces hit a dip in the road (or go over rough surfaces), it can start to twist the handlebars left and right. If this occurs violently enough, then you get into a tankslap. A tank slap is when your handlebar go from extreme left to extreme right, switching from one extreme lock to the other. You will crash from this.

The steering damper will dampen the oscillation that occurs in these situation, thereby preventing a tankslap. Tankslaps aren't funny, they are serious and can cause a LOT of injury the the biker. This is not a "speed wobble", as it doesn't necessarily require high speeds (or all out acceleration) for this to occur. Consider this a safety mod. It is worth every dollar. I've had some BAD headshake on the road and on the track, and I wasn't even going all that fast..... okay, the worst headshake on public roads was when I whacked it open at 183km/h. That really calmed me down for the rest of the night though.

I also riced out my mini-subwoofer. So now, it's got a Scotts Steering damper sticker on it. It will preven my sub from tankslapping!! hahaha.

...that is all. The snow isn't very heavy now, but it's still depressing.
