I just discovered another "hidden" feature of my Golf that I didn't need to know.

While waiting for a green light from a hill, I decided to use the ol' handbrake to hold the car so that I don't abuse the clutch at start up. When it was finally my time to go, I drop the handbrake and accelerate away.

Within 5 seconds, the interior started to beep incessantly. I looked around thinking for a second it might be from the radio, but it wasn't. The beeps weren't in rhythm with the song.

I look at my dash, and I realize my handbrake was still up! Ah shoot. Loser alert!
