Been looking around for a digital camera. Two things became clear to me.

1. You cannot get a good camera for cheap. If you want cheap, you must sacrifice features; ironically, it's the features you most want.
2. It doesn't matter what you get, as long as it does what you wanted at the time of purchase, then it's good enough. There's always something better coming out next week, month, year.

So it comes down to decision time, and I've decided not to get one. They're still too expensive in my opinion, and it's not a necessity.
