I believe I posted some links to pix of my banding: Banding
I went to the shop where I bought the TV, they allowed me on exchange. At their store, I insisted that I try it out before I take it home. To my horror, it also had very noticeable banding much like the picture in the link. I called up Sharp Canada right away, and they said I should just log a customer complaint. Long story short, I emailed their service rep the picture above, which they forwarded to Sharp Canada, and it'll take up to 7 weeks for this to be rectified. In the meantime, the gentleman on the other side ASSURED me that I was allowed to continue to use my product, and won't further damage any parts. Well this shouldn't be related, but when I turned on my TV today: I saw that the overlay menus that display connection types were corrupted (NOTE: all images below are 1024x681): Corruption 1 Corruption 2 The left side under the Aquos badging also showed corruption: Corruption 3 Average use of TV is about 2 hours a day tops. Turning on/off TV did not fix problem. I waited 30 seconds and then when I powered it back up, menus were restored. Still, it's something I'd rather not have to do all the time. UGH! ....Why me?

I finally got a chance to upload some pictures of the house. Okay, scratch that. I finally got off my lazy bum and took some pictures, so I can upload them.
I'm sick, but I needed something to do, and my body is sore from sleeping so much.
Sitting at home, sick. Feeling pretty rough. Had a fever last night (I'm sure.) It broke at about 4 am. But I'm still feeling like poo.
....Valentine's Day what?

I picked up a knife today.
In times past, that would have meant something. I mean, let's face it, everyone occasionally have dark demons they'd rather not face right? Thing is, I picked up the knife today, admiring its cold steel, the sharp point of the blade, the nice hefty weight, how the rubber handle gives it a nice, soft but firm grip, and I didn't have any bad thoughts. I grabbed a tomato and cut into chunks, noting that it's red like my blood, and I didn't want to go crazy. I guess it's been a while, and I'm finally at peace. I'll always miss you. ....If life throws you a tomato, you make spaghetti sauce.

I have a problem.
See, the thing is, with my house, my kitchen window looks directly into my neighbour's kitchen window. I mean - when I'm washing at my sink, so too is the people across from me. So everytime I'm cooking, they're cooking. I can't help it if we're eating at around the same time. Wherein lies the problem. The houses aren't so far apart that we can't tell what the other is doing. Since they don't have a big curtain, and I don't have one up at all - well, I see them as they see me. My question then is, do I wave? I mean, would you? The lady of the house sees me, and I see her. I'm sure we've looked across now and again, and I feel sorta like obligated to at least wave. ....Apparently, you don't. I did, and she ignored me. |
