I have an imaginary friend, and his name is Jookie Chan.
Jookie is a great guy. I asked him to contribute money for my United Way dragonboat festival, and he gave me $50. He didn't even ask for a receipt! I think he's the bestest friend in the world. While just today, when I was bored and wanted to go grab some tea, he came along, on the back of the bike, no helmet, no jacket, and didn't complain when I went too fast. He wasn't scared, he leaned with the bike on all the turns. Heck, he even did some blind spot checks for me. I guess he's my new best friend. ....That's right folks, I think I'm finally beginning to crack.

In accordance with Yodaslap's suggestion, here's an .mp3 I created when I was really bored. There are only certain bits that are good, so you're hearing ALL the ugly bits. I only figured out afterwards that I can cue up multiple sections of the same vinyl. So all those really whacked bits is me FF to the next good scratch phrase.
....GET IT ASAP

I have finally succumbed to my allergies. I thought this time the claritin and it's generic knock-offs would surpress my symptoms, and for 5-6 days, I thought it would actually work.
But I'm (un)happy to report that indeed my eyes are sore and itchy. Oh, I also drank some relatively clean lake water today during dragonboat practice. It was either that or dehydrate to death - and I'm not ready to go, not for dragonboat. I also had a good half bag of dried mangos - which is so yummy, and yet, it's doing a number in my tummy. It could be the mangoes or the water actually. ....Either way, I better poo it out.

It's hard to believe that my bike is 6 years old.
I still walk out of the parking lot elevators and smile at her. I still enjoy her curves, her colours, the way she handles, and how much fun she still is. Why just today, I was making my favorte right hander, when I leaned her over and gave it throttle. She fell into line, then I literally felt my rear tire hook up and scooted me around the bend. ....Lovely feeling, that.

I went back to Canada Computers to exchange my keyboard.
I made sure I had my receipt. I made sure everything in the box was in the box. I packed all the stuff up, and told them I wanted to exchange the keyboard. The mouse was fine. They told me that all the components must be together, and I told them, "No. They automatically pair up via the setpoint software by using a 4 digit key." I went to the back with the sales, and he picked up the first keyboard (very dirty looking) and handed it to me. I go, "Come on, dude, let me find one that doesn't look like it's been returned." He gives me a weird look, like I just said, "The boobity doopity, goes with the loopitdy. Stupid McNupid." I began picking the packages out one at a time, then I thought to myself, "What if it still doesn't work??" So in an instant, I turn back to the sales guy and said, "You know what? Forget it, I'm just going to get a refund." And I did, now I'm back to typing on my old keyboard, and I already miss the feeling of the other one - it was softer and easier to type. ....Dang.

I went to VW to buy a combi valve, to hopefully finally get rid of the check engine light that's plagued me for a year and a half.
I went the last time, and the guy sold me a purge valve. Stupid me couldn't tell the difference, and the counter guy didn't know. This time I know what it looks like, and I again went back to the counter guy - cuz you know, I enjoy the pain. He once again came back with a purge valve, and I'm like, "Nah, come on man, same thing happened last time, it doesn't look like that." Trying to be helpful, I say to the guy, "It could also be called ERG valve". He looks on the computer, and comes back nil. I describe the location of the combi valve, on the top right hand side of the engine, mounted beside it. There's a metal cap on top, and the unit is metal. He searches some more, and asks: "Is it the EGR valve?" I said, yeah. He goes back to the computer, types something up, then calls me in to let me see the picture of it. I check his online microfiche, and look at the diagram. Seeing that it indeed looks like the part I need, I nodded in agreement that he was correct. I then check the name of the part, and - wait for it... it says: COMBI VALVE. ....And it was mine for only $193. *sigh*

So here is the definitive list of why I have to return the keyboard/mouse combo - or at the very least, exchange for something hopefully better.
- Setpoint.exe is a resource hog - Dual keypress when waking up keyboard after it goes into sleep mode - Idle time of mouse seems relatively short, causing lag each time it wakes up - After a day of the system being on, keyboard's nifty features (volume slider bar, quick launch keys) either stop working, or there's a 10 second delay after depressing the key - Setpoint.exe occasionally crashes when rebooting - Extra mouse keys do not work on occasion, and reverts back to original key assignments - The HOME/END/ETC keys are remapped, I can no longer touch type on those keys - Bluetooth is a bugger of a resource hog as well (although any bluetooth enabled system will have this extra overhead - so it's not specific to Logitech mouse/keyboard) So I don't know. I've grown fond of the peripherals. I love the size, weight and feel of the mouse. It's great for surfing and gaming, but the crummy keyboard plus the crappy software is really putting a strain on me. I'm going to exchange it tomorrow, and if that still don't work, sorry mate. ....Tagline here.
So I went hiking with a bunch of friends last week, with my brother in tow. And while my brother is not the Robin to my Batman, well at least he's still my favorite brother.
Oddly enough, I didn't take one single picture of him, as I know how much he hates having his picture taken. Still, I wish I had some candid shots of the man. Finally, I enjoyed using my P&S Panasonic over my D70. I didn't have to worry about anything, I just snapped away. Felt good and liberated actually.
