D R U N K !

I have the capacity to hold my alcohol.

I have never smoked in my life. Not one single puff. I have held a cigarette for a friend once, but I've never been tempted to take a drag. Sure, I have had plenty of second-hand smoke, but never, ever, have I inhaled.

I don't do drugs. I have never taken an estacy pill, never had ganja, never pumped anything up my veins. I'm not even tempted. Sure, I hear back in da day rave parties was where it was at, but I could care less.

But I'm a lush when it comes to the alcohol. My grandfather used to drink heavily, and beat grandma when he got home. My Dad, who didn't get drunk, would always have a beer after a game of squash, and if you ask me, played the game just to have an excuse to get crunked. He too no longer drinks.

And then there's me - who can hold alcohol like I ain't Asian.

In the span of half an hour, I had 4 whiskey/rye shots, and chased it with 2 beers. Then we went to afterlife and I drank more - I don't remember how many now. There was the chrispy-crunch shot for Park, who passed his accounting exam thing. Then there were at least another three beers I remember downing, but in between them, I had some alcoholic beverages too. Oh yes, on an empty stomach too, right after a hard bicep workout. Which makes it doubly worse, in my estimation. About the only food I had Friday was a Yokozuna soup ramen and california roll, and then a protein bar as snack.

Which leads to this message. I'm drunk, pissed, and tired - having had an average sleeping period of six hours a night. Not even good sleep. Arms are sore from typing and too many sets of bicep workouts on a Friday night with six hours of sleep and eating only two meals. I'm upset, hurting, and frankly, want to cry.

I've showered and changed my clothes. My eardrums are pounding from the incessant hip hop, reggae, and spot of house. I called up dashin to report I got home safe, because even in snow, I can drive home not 100% sober.

....Where's the part where God gets angry and smite me? I'm ready.

SWEET!

....Don't need to say anymore than that.

I was whining to my clique about how expensive my snowboarding stuff was. I was complaining about how wasteful I am with money.

Then I thought about it realistically. If I went boarding, I need a jacket and snowpants regardless. My jacket and pants were $247.24 tax in. I already got the worst grade jacket available (green - usually people go for blue or black), and the pants are what they are, within range of what they cost. That means out of the $~470 I spent, half is on something I need, leaving the rest to my board, boots and binding. $~235 for that is cheap. My snowboard costs only $50. My boots were only $60. My crummy firefly (cheap brand name) was only $109. By comparison Burton bindings (brand name) are $150 after discount.

It isn't bad. Heck, even my goggles were only $24. I know a guy who's goggles cost as much as his bindings!

....Yeah, I'm justifiying it, but hey, I just needed to do it, 'K?

It's snowing. I'd rather give back all my boarding gear to see grass. I just remembered why I hate the idea of snowboarding so much. I hate the cold.

My feet are cold, my hands are cold, and geez, I'm wearing a t-shirt AND a sweater. Now, I don't usually get cold, but when I do, I turn into the biggest little whiney baby.

....Losing in volleyball really sucks too.

So just a slight correction to my post below.

Pants were only $79
Snowboard bag was only $17

....A penny saved is one more towards being a cheap-bum-bum.

People sometimes call me a spoiled little rich kid. I don't know why they'd ever say that.

Except, well.... I just bought myself a complete set of snowboard gear, and I've yet to snowboard once. (Sad, but it's true. Hey, I'm a pure nerd FOB when winter hits. It's me, my computer, and my online friends when it snows.)

All Canadian prices
Jacket = $135.99 (from $169.99)
Snow pants = $89 (from $99)
Boots = $59 (discounted)
Bindings = $109
Snowboard = $49.98 (from $199.99)
Goggles = $23.99 (from $29.99)
Socks = $23.99 (from $29.99)
Snowboard bag = $24.99

When you think it through, it isn't all that bad for $488.95. However, Ders remarks, "Most people buy one thing at a time, you go and buy a complete set of gear all at one shot."

But come on, Sportchek is having a closeout sale, you can't go wrong with a good deal.

....Bunny hills, here I come.

Gah! This has got to be some sort of a loser record.

I went to watch two movies over the weekend, both of them at the theatre, paying full price. You all already know about Chicken Little.

The second movie was the new Harry Potter flic. How was it you ask?

Well, the parts where I stayed awake was pretty okay.

....I'm just too old to sit still for two hours these days without passing out.

Topics today I didn't bother to write down:

1. Bought a T-shirt today, the highlight of my life.
2. Who's ducky, and why does "she" want to play MJ with me?
3. My rear brakes on my GTI are seized up, they squeal like a banshee.
4. Throat is sore.

....Because really, I don't have much to write about tonight.
