I was goofing around with ACDSee, and this picture turned out exceptionally well. Beware, it's a 115k .jpg, which I probably am no longer allowed to use, because I didn't pay a licensing fee.
I've been having a hard time formulating thoughts down onto this digital space. Life's been fairly good, and there's not much to rant about. (I love ranting and raving, as I'm sure you're aware.)
The weather in tee-dot has been phenomenal. It doesn't get better than this. Guess what though? I haven't ridden the bike since Sunday. How ghey is that? Part of the problem is that I beat the cow out of her on Sunday, and haven't given her a proper wash or wax job. I haven't even greased the chain. I've totally neglected my baby, and don't want to get her any more fickled without given her a proper rub down. Hence, I've been flogging the Cage this week; with my sunroof open and music blaring. One of the problems with riding long distances on the bike is boredom. It's extremely boring to ride for more than 15-20 minutes if I have to obey the speed limits. I guess one of the advantages of having a car is the radio. Good music seems to make time fly. And that's why I didn't really enjoy the ride up to Mosport Sunday, since we took what the EU community calls "B roads", small country side roads with the occasional pothole/ripple, and lots of hidden driveways into farms. We were all pretty much following the law, and it bored me to death, even riding in a group of 14 didn't make any difference. It's all about speed, baby. ....yawn.

Since I got some kudos for posting my pix up last week, I decided to upload more random pictures, that have nothing to do with nothing. (huh??).

I took a bunch of pictures while at the '02 Mosport Superbikes weekend. Nothing too outrageous, but still worth a peek.

Sunburns suck. Royally. I've forgotten how much it hurts. Well now I remember and it sucks. (Did I say that already?? Well it does!)
It's been a while since I've had the guts to go shirtless. As stupid as that sounds, I really don't feel I have the body to go around without my shirt on. I've always found it a little vain for guys who work out strolling around town like a freaking peacock. Now, don't get me wrong. If I'm at the beach, there's no way I'm sunbathing in a T-shirt, that's just gayness. But anywhere else other than the beach, I'm as covered as a baby's bottom. I know I'm not totally skinny, but I certainly ain't Mr. Olympian. Why bother showing what you probably don't have, or worse, show what little you do have? Well on Sunday, I was at the Canadian Superbike Races at Mosport and it was hecka hot. Compounded by the fact I was wearing a black Tee, there's no way I wasn't going to walk around shirtless. I would have fainted from the heat otherwise. But I'm paying for it now, aren't I?! Much too much sun, and not a drop of SPF-anything, I'm as red as a jalapeno, and as burnt as a guy stepping in dog doo-doo in front of half the school. I can't even lean back on my chair, let alone get a good night's sleep. _wince_ ....but hey, I'll have a nice tan once it heals up. |
