I am not a science guy. The concept of anything remotely having to do with biology/physics/chemistry escapes me. So much so, I abhor the unwholesome trinity, un-affectionately known as phy-chem-bi.
It is because of this, one time several friends and I were debating on a topic reaching the complexity of rocket science, when I declared, "I've always sucked in science. Heck, I couldn't even memorize the scientific chart." Silence. Everyone looked at me with a bewildered stare. "Pardon me," said one friend. "What is a scientific chart?" I replied. "Duuuuuh! The chart with all the chemicals on it...." "Um, you mean the Periodic Table??" ....suffice to say I had nothing else to contribute afterwards.

The date on my watch keep getting 3-4 days ahead of itself ever so often. This is weird. I stop wearing the watch for 3 weeks, and now it's all wonky. I think it's jealous of my $15 Fossil watch! Geez.
...I don't make this stuff up.
I'd like to think I'm a relatively atheletic person. That is to say, I am able to pick up any sport and be relatively proficient given the appropriate amount of time.
However, I know my limits, and soccer is that line I dare not cross. Even back when I was a tyke, the mechanics of kicking a ball with my feet would alwys escape me. As I grew older, I just never stepped foot on a soccer field (yes, bad pun.) Every year, my co-workers would try to coax me into playing, baiting me with lines like "It's just exercise", and "No one expects you to be great." But for me, association football has always been my Achilles heel. (Bad pun #2) This is how I explain it: Take a pole, hammer it onto the field, and I guarantee you that will stop more guys than me. ....just to keep the foot out of my mouth (bad pun #3)

I realize I've been posting a LOT of pix, and actually cut down on my writing. I guess it's much easier to stick a picture online than it is to be creative.
It isn't the best nor the smallest camera in the world, but the quality output by it continues to impress me. I'm glad I bought this, over it's successor. The new Fujifilm F601 is smaller, lighter, yada yada. But I'm still very happy with mine, and besides, the LCD is much bigger here, and more polite. How many digicams greet you with Hello and See you when powering on/off?? Anyway, that's all I wanted to say. Incidiently, the new Fujifilm F601 was on TV just last night! I guess they're really hyping that camera now. ...don't break what can't be fixed.

So the Company has a new initiative to rank our work output. Each month, the score is tallied and the most prodigious worker-bee gets a spot of honey, and a plaque commemorating his contribution.
I vow this day, here and now, I will win me one of them plaques. When I do, I will use it to put it under my motorcycle kickstand to prevent my bike from making holes in the asphalt! ....I already use my Company shirt to wash my bike.

I know I'm quite the update demon today, but I keep remember things I'd like to blog about.
There have been rare occasions where I've been 100% mesmorized by music heard on the Telly. This is one of those bands. Nickel Creek Now I will guarantee this music is not for everyone. I myself would have never bothered to find out what bluegrass bands are all about, until I was flipping through channels one lonely Friday evening. When there upon PBS, a group of 4 stood on a tiny stage, while the leader (who stood slightly in front of the rest of the band) played a mad mandolin. At first, I was just awed that someone would have such dexterous fingers, but the melodic picking of the strings and it's intricate arrangement, blended with the extremely soulful violin, resonated with the rhythm guitar, and finally grounded by the deep bass, I was hooked. I can't read sheet music, but I know what I liked, and my heart sore and plumeted with each tune. It was then I heard their voices, and that was it. Mesmorized. Like a deer in headlights. What a wonderful find. Enough so I may pick up their CD when I get a chance to hit a record store. Apparantly though, if you're a CMT fan, you would be familiar with this band. One of my favorite songs from them right now is Sweet Afton, a very Celtic sounding tune that makes my heart ache like candy to tooth decay. A close second is probably The Lightouse's Tale. ....Wow, I never knew I'd be into stuff like this.
Got to fool around with my camera last night while driving. Took some interesting shots
If there's anything that gets me vexed, it's people who can stand up their friends.
If you're not up to hanging out that night, say so. Don't have us call, tell us you'll show (reluctantly, I might add), and then ditch. Don't slick your friends. That's all. It sounds so simple don't it? But twice in the past two weekends, I've been slicked by 2 different buddies. Ouch. Am I that bad of a time?? I don't even want to know. Anyway, I guess that's why I'm still up, and it's 5:46am. Fun being an insomniac. ....must sleep soon.
I think everyone has this defining moment in their lives which says, "Here I am, look at me. I'm living. I'm alive!"
Dear strangers. Indeed here's your moment. Sorry I don't know either of you, but I'm sure the story will be even more wild in the morning with a nasty hangover.
