Truex Alliance
|
Truex Prince started out the chase fun with the palace by finishing 2nd in overall points in 2006.
But for the 2007 season, he didn’t fair as well only finishing 11th with 5 wins. Part of his achievements entitled 9th in cup with no wins to everybody’s surprise. However he did get 2 wins in Busch but then disappointment kicked in again as he failed to make the top 12. But when it came to truck, things got a little bit better. He scored 8th in points and 3 wins, plus got the record for the most truck races won in a row. Truex Prince is the captain of the Truex Alliance in which they finished 5th in team points overall. The Truex Alliance also got two records this year: most Busch races won in a row and most truck races won in a row.
Truex Prince looked to become a champion as he knew he had to prove he rightfully deserved to be captain of the Truex Alliance. However, he came up short only scoring 9th overall. In cup, things got worse as he scored 7th there. In Truck, he went all out winning the most chase wins out of anybody with 2, yet only could find a 7th place finish.
For 2008, Truex Prince would qualify for the chase as he'd finish 10th. He improved in the Nationwide side on the way as he score 3 wins, including the Federated Auto Parts 300. He also experienced some success in the newly added ARCA Series as he won 2 races, including Toledo, on his way to finishing 12th in points, 5 points ahead of 13th. In the East Series, he won a race at Walkin's Glen, which propelled him to a 2nd place finish in points, 75 points out of the lead. Despite not winning any West Series races, he'd finish 9th in points. Though he'd continue his wins in the USAR Nothern Series with it's first year as he won a race at Jennerstown, though he'd be stronger in it's counter part the USAR Southern Series as he'd win 3 races with those being USA International, the 4 Brothers 250 and Bristol, finishing 7th in points.
In the 2008 Chase, Truex Prince didn’t do that bad as he finished 11th in the Superior Chase with 5 wins, a 7th in the ARCA Chase, and 6th in the West Series with 1 win, 83 points out of 1st. But he blew this goodness as he finished last in the East Chase with a win and 8th in the USAR Champions Chase. Despite not qualifying for some of the chases, he showed he’d be good in the future as he won 3 overall races, 2 Nationwide and a truck race.
