Hendrick Fan Squad Pt. 2
|
Tartey came into his first year at Ashleys Palace in 2007 and missed the big 12 and ended up 14th. But despite not making the big 12, Tartey found success in other ways such as his 6 wins. But mostly he found his biggest success within the cup series. In the cup series, he finished 8th in points after scoring 4 wins. He didnt score the consistency in Busch nor truck but he got 1 win in each of those divisions. Tartey is a proud member of the Hendrick Fan Squad Followers in which they finished 6th in team points overall. The Hendrick Fan Squad Followers also managed to score a record securing the record for the most Busch races won in a row by a team.
Tartey failed to make the 2007 Overall Chase, yet qualified for the Cup Chase, finishing 9th with 1 win
For 2008, Tartey would barely miss the 2007 Chase by finishing 13th by only 17 points. He also only would score 3 wins in the cup series, including the Dodge Challenger 500. Though Tartey would improve his winning ways in Nationwide as he won a total of 5 races, including the Camping World 300. He also kept up his Truck success as once again he'd score 1 win and that would come at Milwaukee on his way to finishing 7th. He'd experience limited success in the ARCA Series as he'd only win one race there with that being Toledo. But one of his strongest points would be the newly added East Series as he'd win a series high 3 races with Greensville, Iowa, and Nashville on his way to finishing 4th in points. Also, he left his mark in the West Series with it's first year as he won 3 races with those being Texas, Iowa, and Infinion. He also showed some strength in the USAR Southern Series by winning the Greased Lightning 250.
In the 2008 Chase, Tartey didnt do that bad as he finished 9th in the Nationwide Chase and 5th in the East Chase, 59 points out of 1st. Despite not making the truck race, thats where he found his lonely win in the Kroger Race for the Cure 200.
In 2008, Tartey took part of Pick Madness and worked with Casey4ever & 48fan4ever to win the most races of anybody, 7 wins.
