For the 2008 season, it was his first year so therefore it equaled some trying fun. In the regular season, he right away showed that he'd be a contender throughout the future as he finished 3rd in Superior points and 2nd in overall, 569 points behind first. That was strongly thanks to his cup success as he finished 2nd, 194 points behind first, winning 5 races in the process, including 3 Chase Rounds. He then went on to win 3 Nationwide races including the Carfax 250. He kept his winning ways up in the truck series as he 3 wins including his first with the Kroger 200 on his way to finishing 8th in points. He kept his sucess going as he won 5 ARCA wins, with his first being the ARCA 200, on his way to finishing 7th in points. He then added 2 West races with those being Phoenix and Miller on his way to finishing 10th in points. He also showed some strength in the USAR Northern Series as he won a race at Rockford on his way to finishing 7th in points, though was stronger in it's counter part the USAR Southern Series as he won 2 races with those being the 4 Brothers 250 and Bristol, finishing 7th in points.
In the 2008 Chase, Lil Tigre disappointed as he finished 10th in the Superior & Overall Chase with 2 wins, 11th in the ARCA Chase, and 12th in the USAR Champions Chase, despite being so good in the regular season. He then improved it a bit as he finished 8th in Cup with 2 wins, 7th in Truck, and 9th in West.
