Cookie came into his first year at Ashley’s Palace Awards in 2007 and just missed the chase in the overall section finishing 13th. However, Cookie did manage to find some success through everything. He made the truck top 12, finishing right on the money spot in 12th, and he scored 2 wins including the Montreal race. Cookie is a proud member of the Dale Earnhardt Incorporated Intimidators and they managed to score a 4th place in the team points overall.
Cookie failed to make the 2007 Overall Chase, yet qualified for the Truck Chase. He went all out scoring the most wins out of anybody with 2, yet only ended up 8th in final points
For 2008, Cookie would continue his Nationwide win success as he'd win 3 races, including the Food City 250, while winning 3 truck races, including his first at Charlotte. Also, he left his mark in the USAR Southern Series with it's first year as he won 3 races with those being USA International, Concord, and the 4 Brothers 250. He also showed his strength in the East Series as he won at Walkin's Glen.
