Chocolate Monster hit the scene in the 2006 season as we came into play and ended up 5th in the overall points.
But 2007 wouldn’t be the year to equal that wonderful 2006 season as he would finish 18th in overall points. But there were some highlights within this season that will be remembered. For starters, despite finishing 18th in points, he still won 12 races. On the cup side, he got 4 cup wins, including the Daytona 500 & All-Star Challenge, and won all 5 chase races. Then in the Busch side he scored the money spot in points, 12th, while scoring 2 wins including Montreal. And then to end it all off, on the truck side he got his big truck win at Milwaukee. Chocolate Monster is the captain of the Chocolate Alliance in which they finished 7th in overall team points.
Chocolate Monster failed to make the 2007 Overall Chase, yet qualified for the Busch Chase, finishing 11th with 1 win.
For 2008, he experienced some success as he scored one cup win in the 2nd Chase Round and the Emerson Radio 250 in the Nationwide Series. He managed to score 2 Truck wins, including Kansas, on his way to finishing 14th in points, 21 points out of 12th. He kept his winning ways going as he'd win 2 ARCA races with his first at Daytona. He finished it off with a win in the newly added West Series with Irwindale, on his way to finishing 12th in points, qualifying for the chase by 28 points in the final race. Despite not winning a USAR Nothern Series race, he managed to pull off a 10th place points finish.
In the 2008 Chase, Chocolate Monster did pretty well as he finished 3rd in West, 73 points out of 1st with a win in the Toyota Auto Parts 300.
