2008 Winter Awards
Welcome to the 2008 Fall.
Firstly on behalf of the entire Ashley's Palace staff, I would like to thank all of the wonderful people who read the pieces and voted. Without you, none of this would be possible.
Secondly I, personally, would like to thank all the writers who have written these wonderful pieces and posted them for others to read. We appreciate your hard work and dedication towards the site.
Though overall for this session, we saw some wonderful pieces added to the site and saw updates made to existing pieces to make them better. In all, there are some new pieces winning awards, while there are some pieces winning awards for the first time. We also added three new categories � best main character, best advising character and best dramatic scene � to try to single out some of the best in each section. The goal of the awards is discover what is the best and with each award added, we further get information on this.
Nethertheless, this promises to be one of the best ever so please do check out every award winner.

Best Story by Ashley: The Pain
The Pain is a story written about 4 drivers and how the pain of one event changed their lives forever. The Pain won this award one vote over Jailhouse NASCAR Style
Best Story for 2008 Winter.....
Runaway by Lil Tigre
This is Lil Tigre's third major award ever and third time in a row he won with this specific story.
"Honestly for me, this story was a release. It gave me the ability to release all the emotions that I have held inside for this long. So for me, it probably means more than it'll probably mean to anybody else." - Lil Tigre
Basically this is a story that is written in one man's POV letting out his emotions, with all the emotions being true
Best Series for 2008 Winter.....
Ashy & Junebug by Ashley
This is Ashley's tenth series award in a row, and the fifth time she has got it with Ashy & Junebug. This officially certifies it a spot in the Stardom Vault.

Ashy & Junebug is the fictional love affair between Dale Earnhardt Jr. & Ashley McCubbin. Within their love, they have their trying times with not only themselves, but now their kids and grandchildren

Behind The Finish Line by Ashley
Behind The Finish Line is a script that showcases what it can be like off-track for some of NASCAR�s biggest teams during some of the toughest times. The voting was really close as it won one vote over Chosen Destiny.
Love Connection Awards
Best Love Connection by Ashley: Ashley & Dale Jr. from Ashy & Junebug
This is also the third year in a row that this has been Ashley's top combination
Best Love Connection by Amanda: Michael & Amanda from Kids of True Love Sequel
The voting was close in this category as that combination won 1 vote over the other big combo in that story � Martin & Kristina.

This is the second year in a row that this character has won this award and Ashley�s eighth award in a row.
Tears & Heartbreak is a big huge story that deals with the complicated mess of love all mixed with many issues.
M/M Slash Awards
Best M/M Slash by Ashley: Jeff Gordon & Dale Earnhardt Jr. from Super G & Junebug
Super G & Junebug is about the true love between Dale Earnhardt Jr. & Jeff Gordon in a fictional scenery. The voting was close as this combination tied with Jeff & Dale from Schrub & Snooter Rooster and Jeff & Dale from The Island leaving it up for management to decide which was the best of the three.
Best M/M Slash for 2008 Winter.....
Dale & Martin from Magical Season
In all the years that we've had this award, Ashley has won it every year.
Magical Season is a story about some seasons in NASCAR and the wacky events that take place, showcasing the love between characters within these events.
