Minecraft Planet has a wide variety of content. They have forums, articles, events, information on mobd, items, and the history of Minecraft. The website is fairly easy to narvigate. The layout is not my favorite, but it is not terrble. The color are bright and eye catching, creating a playful tone. Minecraft Wiki is solely based around Minecraft mechanics and explanatoins of various items and mobs in Minecraft. it's main goal is to inform and help. The layout is simple and easy to nabigate. The color are simple and not distracting creating the ideal tone for an informational or educational site. Minecraft.net is Minecraft's Official Website. It a a huge variety of conent. They have information about the game, news, forums, videos, articles, and images. The layout is very good. You can tell that it is a professional website. The colors are also very eye catching and astetically pleasing. It is Minecraft's Offical website so it is not suprising that it is well made. Minecraft Hub is based around the community aspect of Minecraft. They have forums and resources such has mods, texture packs, Minecraft skins, and articles. They layout could be better. The website is a little hard to navigate and the olor sceme is slightly distracting. Minecraft CurseForce's content is entirely about modding Minecraft. There are forums, bug reporting forms, mod downloads, mod information, and the occasional guide on various mods. They layout is simple and get straight to the point. The colors are monochromatic and not distracting. Just like Minecraft Wiki the ideal tone for an informational or educational site is created. It's tone fits perfectly with what the website's purpose.
Purpose - The purpose of this website is to show how versitile minecraft is. Minecraft is not just a game for young boys. The possibilites are endless. I want to create a place where people can go to find content, and information about Minecraft. A place to showcase the side of Minecraft people generally dont see.
Desired Results - I want to be able to show that there is something in Minecraft for almost everyone and have a place to look for help, information, or tips and tricks about Minecraft. The goal of this website is to show that Minecraft is much more then it seems. Works of art and complex technical builds are often overlooked. Minecraft has become more then just a survival game.
