The basic sentence pattern for things people like is PERSONhaTHINGgasukidesu. suki is a na adjective, so the negative is sukijyaarimasen and the past tense is sukideshita.
saburinasanhadansugasukidesu. "Sabrina likes dancing."
The basic sentence pattern for things people dislike is PERSONhaTHINGgakiraidesu. kirai is a na adjective, so the negative is kiraijyaarimasen and the past tense is kiraideshita.
saburinasanhatakogakiraidesu. "Sabrina hates octopus."
The basic sentence pattern for things people are good at is PERSONhaTHINGgajouzudesu. jouzu is a na adjective, so the negative is jouzujyaarimasen and the past tense is jouzudeshita.
mahoutsukaisamahajuubakuwotatarunogajouzudesu. "The wizard is skilled at casting binding spells."
The basic sentence pattern for pains is PERSONhaTHINGgaitaidesu. itai is an i adjective, so the negative is itakunaidesu and the past tense is itaka,tadesu.
mahoutsukaisamahaatamagaitaidesu. "The wizard has a headache," (probably because of Sabrina's incessant chatter). atama is "head".
The basic sentence pattern for things people prefer is PERSONhaTHINGgaiidesu. ii is the one and only irregular i adjective: the negative is yokunaidesu and the past tense is yoka,tadesu.
saburinasanhafukuwokirunogayoka,tadesu. "Sabrina would have preferred to be wearing clothes."
Note that some of the patterns for offering and accepting invitations also implicitly imply preference or recommendation.
dokodeodo,taraiidesuka. "Where should I dance?"
This pattern asks how to go about doing something. Where? When? How best to go about it?
...tara is a conditional. Other conditionals such as ...ba can be substituted. The next two examples are identical.
itsuatorantisunii,taraiidesuka. "When is best to go to Atlantis?"
itsuatorantisuniikebaiidesuka. "When is best to go to Atlantis?"
Answer 1: Good
te-burunouedeodo,taraiidesu. "You could dance on the table."
This pattern indicates that the speaker recommends the action to the listener.

ashitaatorantisuniikebaiidesu. "It would be a good idea to go to Atlantis tomorrow."

Answer 2: Best
te-burunouedeodo,tahougaiidesu. "It would be best to dance on the table."
This pattern also indicates that the speaker recommends the action to the listener. Depending on the social situation, it might even be construed as an instruction.
ashitaatorantisunii,tahougaiidesu. "It would be best to go to Atlantis tomorrow." If a ruffian tells Sabrina that "it would be best to ...", it's a recommendation - maybe there's an interesting festival in Atlantis tomorrow. But if the gang boss tells a ruffian that "it would be best to ...", that's an instruction, not a recommendation. Since this pattern can be construed as an instruction, the ruffian would not normally use it when speaking to the gang boss.
te-burunouedeodoranaihougaiidesu. "It would be best not to dance on the table." Dance, if you like, but not on the table. There are people who want to eat.
ashitaatorantisuniikanaihougaiidesu. "It would be best not to go to Atlantis tomorrow." One of the other gangs is planning something and will be there.
