Thinceeticart Daipez is a high-level lawful evil thief/transmuter. He has two ambitions:
There are better ways Daipez could spend his time. If he had been more faithful to his alignment, rather than concentrating on his (possibly unattainable) personal objectives, he could be eligible for divine ascension by now.
[AD&D-Specific] Thinceeticart Daipez, human male, Str 14 Dex 16 Con 12 Int 17 Wis 8 Cha 8 Align LE Hp 55. Thief, level 13; Transmuter, level 29.
Clearly, the fact that such a powerful wizard as Daipez cannot defeat Wayer is a strong indication that Wayer is quite powerful too.
There is no way that player characters can take on Daipez and win. If they try, he will, if possible, enslave them rather than kill them. He needs servants more than he needs dead bodies.
If the player characters agree to assist Daipez in schemes related to his obsessions, he will deal fairly, and possibly even generously, with them.
In matters not concerned with his obsessions, Daipez is reasonably honest and only mildly megolamaniacal.
Daipez has the artistic ability trait. He regards himself as of noble rank, and would not stoop to learning a trade, so the only use he makes of this talent is mapmaking. His maps are easy to follow and beautiful to the eye.
Daipez owns powerful magical items appropriate to his level, including the only Ring of Fire Elemental Command in the Fifty Worlds.
