Havdazar

Starting Characters

Havdazar is military. If you start from Havdazar, you are almost certainly military, and you probably ought to have the Soldier kit.

You may be a native. In this case, you are lawful evil, and you are a fighter. You are in the infantry. You speak Havdazi, the Desert Tongue, and the Common Tongue. As a professional front-line warrior, you have maximum hit points at first level. You can have the Inherent Immunity, Heat trait for 3 character points (it normally costs 5). You have no other advantages beyond those of your kit and character class. You are typically equipped with scimitar, shortbow, plate mail and shield. You are loyal to your home city, but not necessarily loyal to the current Shah. You regard foreigners (particularly Atlantean mercenaries) as racially inferior.

You may not have the Limited Magical Skill optional ability. You may have any of the other optional abilities listed for newly-created characters, including Limited Granted Power and Psionic Wild Talent, for the listed character point cost.

Alternatively, you may be an Atlantean mercenary. In this case, you are more likely to be neutral than good or evil, and more likely to be neutral than lawful or chaotic. You are in the cavalry. You may be a fighter, a priest of a war deity, or a priest of a horse deity. You speak Atlantean, the Common Tongue, and the Desert Tongue. As a professional front-line warrior, you have maximum hit points at first level. You have no other advantages beyond those of your kit and character class. You are typically equipped with scimitar, shortbow, chain mail and shield. You hate Havdazar and its residents, but the pay is good.

Like any other native Atlantean, you may have any of the optional abilities listed for newly-created characters, including Limited Magical Skill, Limited Granted Power, and Psionic Wild Talent, for the listed character point cost.

In either case, your first adventure is likely to start when your unit sets off to invade Agvhazar, an oasis to the west of Havdazar. Your DM will inform you of the details.
