Peter Paul:The Judgement of Paris (c. 1635-1637)

The Judgement of Paris (c. 1635-1637), by Peter Paul Rubens, illustrates the Greek myth in which the shepherd Paris is asked by three goddesses to decide which of them is the most beautiful. By depicting each of the three naked figures from a different angle, Rubens creates a sensuous impression of movement in a scene that might otherwise appear static.
