Strengthen Your Spirit

I was in a class recently and the instructor made reference to a statement about our spirit nature and our fleshly nature that was simple yet so powerful and true (at least to me :)

"I have two natures. The one I love and the one I hate but the one I feed will dominate"

Peace...Andrew

Hi, I just want to know how time do you spend with the Lord in the mornings. I desire to spend more time with him as well but it's only when I prayed around 6:30am, then I'm getting ready for work after that. I desire t hear from the Lord as well.

In the mornings, I 'generally' spend about 45 minutes to an hour. Sometimes it may even be less. I really don't plan a specific time, it just happens to be the time mentioned above. One of the things that I have discovered is that God can speak in 10 minutes just as He can in 45. My goal has become to daily have an 'active communion' with Him whether it turns out to be 10 minutes or an hour. Being consistent on a daily basis has certainly helped me in my communion and fellowship with Him.

Thank you for your response. Forgive me for saying this, don't want to sound ingorant but I don't know when God is talking to me. I often hear people say that but I'm not aknowledging the Lord speak to me, because I talk to him a lot because there are things I'm confronted with on the job, at home and church and when I start to talk to him, I really can't tell if he is telling me anything. As I've said forgive me my my ingorants but I just can't tell. Could explain this to me? Thank you
