SIGNATURE: Elias Petersen. Peter Elias Petersen (1859-1950) is a listed artist. He received a complex education. First he was student by an art turner, and then he studied drawing by C. Leuning Borch. After finishing Teknisk Skole, he studied at P.S. Kroyer's school. He travelled to Germany, Paris, and the Netherlands. He exhibited for many years at Charlottenborg and also at the World Exhibition in Paris 1900. Kunstnernes Efterarsudstilling, Kunstnerforeningen. Elias Petersen spent his summers in Gilleleje (Zealand) where he painted his preferred motif, sailing ships. He is represented in Gilleleje Museum and at National Museet (the national museum).This artist can be found in www.signaturehelp.com
