Monday:  Recognizing the 3 Basic Shapes

    Draw a square on paper. Trace the square with glue, and pour glitter on the square. Do the same with the circle and triangle.

Complete these activities with your child on Monday night. Tuesday they should be able to know the three basic shapes in order to complete Tuesday’s activities! Have a GREAT and FUN night with your child!!

Tuesday:

The student’s will build shapes with manipulatives. They will go outside during recess and recognize shapes outside.

    Each child will make shapes out of play-doh, toothpicks, and blocks.

    We will use a digital camera to take pictures outside, and then make a photo album on the computer.

    Take your child outside tonight, and write down three shapes they recognize outside.

Wednesday:

The student’s will be given a quiz over the 3 basic shapes. They will also start to explore 3 dimensional shapes.
