Silicon Breasts and Implants

Recently came across a TV program (taken in the US or UK) where a perfectly normal looking girl was having a breast implant, rather silicon implant. The 'successful' operation was shown in detail and the doctor claimed success. The girl was accompanied by her 'proud' mother and later the 'happy' girl was shown epxressing her gratitude to the doctor. The girl finally displayed her firms breasts and looked impressive in bra. But,

Why But?

Well the problem was that the young girl had perfectly normal breasts to start with. It was large enough and anyone would have put the size as just above average for a young girl in her 20s! What was she looking for when her she laready had such an above average size? Why should anyone put a foreign element like silicon in your body? Apart from the health hazards, even in an esthetic sense, the implanted breasts look so artificial, so unreal and so awkward in most cases! Even in the current program her boyfriend said that he didn't care the change at all!

Young Girls are obsessed with the breast size

In fact, most girls want to have bigger breasts to impress men (at least that is the perception). But in all interviews, most men said they didn't care about the size. Even those who liked big breasts, when it came to their own girl friends they were quite contented with whatever size the girls had. This being the case, it goes without saying that most men don't want their girlfriends to have implanted breasts. It is understandable to see that no one derives any pleasure from fondling an unnatural object! Looking on the screen is impressive, having right in front of you is a an entirely different matter!

Young Obessions

Youngsters are obsessed with a lot of things. They are also unnecessarily worried about a lot of things. The multinational companies contribute to these worries. For example, pimples are a sign of puberty. Pimples diasappear once you pass teenage. But the young guys are worried and try all kinds of remedies to get rid of the pimples. Simple warm water and mild soap should be enough to keep one's face less greasy. But all the creams in the world should be applied. It is impossible to resist the pressure of advertisements.

The other obesession is the size of breasts for girls and the size of penis for boys. The former one is more in the news, because of the commercial value of silicon implant. Luckily there is no silicon implant for penis! We will talk about the penis size in another article.

Silicon implant can be looked from different viewpoints - esthetic or beauty, sexual or erotic and lastly health or medical grounds. Let's take them one by one.

Esthetic or Beauty

As expressed by majority of men, it is laready very clear that most of them are very happy with an average sized breast. And again, most don't care about the size in personal situatons. Admiring huge breasts in public is one thing, hoping to have one at your disposal is another matter.

In most paintings by well known artists, very few of them features females with above average breast size. Again the standard size has the majority here. We have a sample on the left here. (Diana after the bath - François Boucher 1743). In fact there is not a single painting which has been popular singularly based on the size of the breast. Having missed the attention of well known painters, let's us look at the current actresses. Again only a small minority have big breasts. Majority of Well known stars do not have huge breasts.

In short, in a esthetic sense, no one cares about the size of the breast. We will talk about the firmness and beauty of breasts later in this article.

Erotic or Sexual Sense

Though there are a lot of cheap sub-standard videos females big breasted females, there are more high standard videos featuring normal breasted females. Erotic literature, typically the erotic literature of the East, has classified big breasts just as one category, gving equal importance to all sizes. One get sexually aroused by all kinds of sizes. In short, size doesn't matter at all, even here. The important point in sexual satisfaction, is how the berast behaves, not how big it is! We cannot see how anyone will feel happy or erotic, fondling a breast knowing that it is silicon inside. Can silicon feel something? Breast is a sexually stimulating location. It's an erogenous zone. In what way silicon is going to help the erogenous feeling here. Nothing in fact. It may diminish the erogenous feeling in most situations.

Health or Medical ground

There are a lot of cases reported where the silicon implant has burst into the bloodstream and has created complication for the girls. In the 90s it came out finally in the news in the United States. More than 430,000 women who claimed to have suffered illnesses relating to their implants applied for relief under the 1993 settlement. Dow Corning, the primary defendant in the suit, declared bankruptcy in May 1995, due to the class settlement and numerous individual suits against it. The awards previously ranged from $100,000 to $2 million. The new settlement grants awards of $10,000 to $250,000. The following site gives a lot of information about the hazardous cases.

Though Dow Corning declared bankrupt in 1995, later studies appeared in the press discounting the fears of breast implants. One of them dated June 22, 1999 on abc news site says "In the United States, a high-level medical study has concluded that silicone breast implants do not cause any major diseases. The Institute of Medicine Panel established by Congress says there's no evidence of a link between implants and conditions such as arthritis and lupus.

As Michael Carey reports from Washington, the finding comes only months after manufacturer, Dow Corning, came to a massive negligence settlement over the implants, agreeing to pay out more than $5 billion."

This is a major departure from earlier studies which claimed that breast implants can cause lupus, rheumatoid arthritis and scleroderma. What is the truth then? Sybil Goldvitch, an implant safety advocate, pointed out that many of the original studies relied upon here were, in fact, funded by the manufacturers. These manufacturers have paid for $30-40 million worth of studies and spent $20 million publicising them. Having lost the case, the manufacturers are trying to save at least the 'face' with help from some doctors! Desperately trying to prove the innocense of all those involved!

Colorodo Healthnet still says "In a recent study, the FDA found that silicone breast implants rupture more often than previously thought. Of the 344 women participating in the study, two-thirds had ruptured silicone implants and showed no symptoms before the leaks were detected by MRI. The FDA noted that the ruptures are serious because if silicone gel gets into the body, it is very difficult to remove and can cause local complications."

What about the Cancer Patients?

One case very often pointed out for breast implant is that of breast cancer patients. Those unfortunate females having lost their sign of feminity would like to have something 'there'. We do understand this situation. Obviosuly this is a very special case. Already the patient had got a fatal disease - breast cancer. In that case, we too feel the implant is justified. Though hazardous in a normal healthy person, here in a patient leady undergone cancer surgery, the relative magnitude of hazard is very different. It is like strong medicine then. One doesn't give strong medicne to a healthy person, but only to a patient.

I want large breasts?

How did it all start in the first place? Well, fashion magazines and sensational girlie magazines popularized the concept of large firm breasts. This prompted many young girls (teenagers in fact) to compare their breasts and start feeling low because their breasts are not large enough! What they failed to understand is the fact that they are still under-age and breasts development continues until you are about 22-23 and in most cases during your first pregnancy! Getting pregnant and seeing pregant women having large full breasts is a normal phenomena in all cultures, still it seems these worried teenagers miss the point altogether! One reason is the taboo associated with discussing these matters in public!

We have watched on several local US channels young teenage girls talking about breast implant. Too young and too early to even talk about the size of the breast!

We feel that the breast size becomes normal only after you get pregant at least once. Several of these society girls and fashion girls are not pregnant until they are past 30s or even later. How can they expect to have proper breast if they don't complete their breast development by becoming pregnant? Pregnant females have very firm round breasts. No model can beat them. No silicon can match that firmness.

Also breast feeding is important. Mothers who breast feed their infants for 1 or more years keep up the size and shape of the breast. This is nature's way of keeping up the beauty at the same time providing vital milk for the child! Again society ladies and fashion girls fail miserably here.

Another simple way of keeping your breasts in shape and from sagging is to walk briskly at least 30 minutes/day for 5 days/week. This has the added benefit of keeping you fit. No medicines, no aerobic, no gadgets - simple walk can do it!

Playboy Breasts?

Playboy Magazine launched a sexual revolution in the US when it was launched in 1953. But unfortunately the magazine has not changed much since then. The concerns, issues and morals upheld by Playboy have been since overtaken by "time" not only in the US but even in the rest of the World! The concept of beauty in Playboy is over polished and the young girls look monotonous and to make it worst many of them surprisingly have silicon breasts. It is as if there is a shortage of firm natural breasts!

Playboy girl has firm breasts, but they look as if attached to the body! This is one of the rare very beautiful girls, many won't come anywhere near!	On the other hand, Chloe's natural breasts looks a little saggy, but that is the way big breasts really look, not liek projections on the wall!

Small or Big -Nothing to beat a Natural Breast!

In summary, the size doesn't matter at all. There are women with small, medium and large breasts. Variety is the spice of nature. Let's accept it. A silicon breast can never be a substitute for natural breast, no matter how big and firm it is. Also breasts become mature only when women become pregnant. A teenager (19 years maximum) cannot expect to have a the same breast size as an adult. Bilogical development of breasts continues until one is 23. Young girls! Don't waste your time, money and peace over the breast size.
