In the US and UK it is almost impossible to see any female with armpits hair in a public place. In dinner parties, when one is likely to wera a sleevless gown, obviously the females make sure that the armpits are clean shaven.

Young teenagers are ashamed to see and expose the armpits hair. So they promptly get hold of razors or depilatory creams.

In working places one can never witness anybody exposing their armpits without being clean shaved.

Summer time in the streets, beaches and swimming pools one can never see any female with armpits hair in the US or UK. The taboo is so strong!

In France, Germany and many European countries this taboo has not been there. At least in the beaches and swimming pools one could see easily see many females with armpits hair. This may not be that apparent in the more formal parties and dinners anymore. Many German sports stars have been so bold to show their unshaven armpits to the public during many World Events. A few 'east European' athlets also have been courageous enough to come to the Stadium with armpits hair. Some of them have been more erotic than any 'sexual guide' or 'movie' one could see!

After the collapse of Communism, Western ideas have overly brainwashed some of the East Europeans- so almost all young girls in Poland, Russia etc are now following their US counterparts. Shaving seems to be a kind of declaration of independence!
