.) First and foremost, I would like to point out a fact that is not so much as important to me as it is to others out there. Yes, Armonius is played by a female mun. I am not a lesbian masquerading as a male to lure poor unsuspecting females into cyber - as a matter of fact, cyber has always been a bit boring for me. If my gender upsets you, I'll not take offense to it. I grew tired of the weak-kneed and boorish "masters" out there and decided to give it a whirl myself. If anything, I play Armonius the way I would like to see a Gorean free male played on AOL Gor - completely and irrevocably in control of his possessions. Anyway, back to the issue at hand. No, I do not plan on having any kinky fur scenes with this character. There is more to a relationship between a man and his slave than sex, you know.
.) I play by the books. That does not mean that I am a book thumper, foaming at the mouth, scrutinizing every little detail and bellowing against something that can't be quoted from a page. In truth, what fun would it be if every single character that played in these rooms was a carbon copy from "book such-and-such, page 35, paragraph 2, line 3?" Come now. People with imaginations tend to embellish, to create, to take what is there and build upon it with their own touch of style. Did not slaves, trained to dance, add their own flavor to what otherwise would be just another body performing the same old routine? It all boils down to a matter of preference. Personally, I would much rather spend my time online with role players who develop characters completely of their own, with unique personalities that sport weaknesses as well as virtues, than I would with your average run-of-the-mill and fresh off the production line characters. However, there is a difference between originality and downright stupidity. For example, if you play a "bred exotic" captured from Earth, who escaped his/her captors and befriended a larl pup who brought him/her to its mummy and daddy who raised him/her until he/she was twelve and after that he/she was taken in by Kurii...... no. Just... no. No, no, no, no, no. You should be Amish. No computer time for you!
.) I must admit, I get confused sometimes on the subject of "coddling vs. cruelty." I cannot count the times I have seen a slave character punished, be it physical or mental, and a whole retinue of IC and OOC protesters rush to protect the slave, bellowing about cruelty this and "have a little heart" that. Bah! And then I have also noticed, again upon several occasions, a man and a slave, conversing. Perhaps the slave's head was on the man's lap, and maybe he was stroking her hair, and the two were speaking, engrossed in conversation. Another girl, lazily lounging nearby, is summoned by the man to bring a drink. Whispers and murmurs are heard that he is too busy coddling his slave to send her off to fetch his drink. Did it ever occur that maybe, just maybe, the man was trying to get to know his slave better? There are several quotes that can back me up on this, hell, several pages of quotes; men were very interested in their possessions. It was not uncommon for a man to know his slave better than his slave knew herself. And if a man is busy working away the pseudo-veils of his slave's interior, solving the fathomless mysteries in his slave's heart, acquainting himself with the splendor of her hair, and he does not want to break the connection, then by all means it is his right to make another, less important slave, at least in his opinion, do the work for him. Getting to know the very essence of your property's heart is not coddling. If anything, it's arming a weapon that, at least in her case, has no defense. Armonius is, in most aspects, a kind master. A happy slave, after all, is less apt to rebel and cause problems that would interfere with his work. That does not, however, mean he is a pushover. He may not be easily angered, but once his temper is ignited, the rage will be sated. Anyways, here's my view on the matter. Coddling occurs when a man gives his slave enough rope that she can hang him with it. Torture... eh, if they deserve it, they deserve it. ::evil grin::
.) Did I piss you off in a long-gone SL? Have you heard through word of mouth who my mun is? Do you have a vendetta against me personally? Do illiterate people have as much fun with alphabet soup? Put it this way - IC and OOC are separate for very damn good reasons. If you pissed me off under one of your names, I can assure you I won't take it out on another one of your characters. If you pissed me off OOC, I would not go out of my way to make every one of your characters online existence pure hell, nor send my friends after you. Please have the common sense not to do the same. If you are caught crossing, you will be ignored.
.) Don't like me? You can permanently ignore me, too. ::grin:: In fact, I probably wouldn't mind much. I'd rather be ignored than hounded to death, when quite frankly, nothing anyone can do or say is ever going to change my role play or ideals. Sorry folks, those are mine and mine alone to change.
