Pairing: Shane/Nicky Rating: R Warning: Nudity, sexual references Lyrics: Westlife - Close |
How far you are, but how near you seem to be
I could talk all night just to hear you breathe
I would spend my life just living this dream
You're all I ever need"
Nicky rested his head on Shane's chest, insecurely. He needed to be close to Shane right now, but how would he ever be able to explain it to him? What was he going to do? It's not like he could just turn around and tell Shane that he... he was... Nicky almost shocked himself with that thought. He couldn't, could he? Was he really falling in love with Shane? After 2 years in the same band, after everything they'd gone through... as friends. And, well, friends was all they were ever going to be.
Shane was taken by surprise as Nicky leaned against him. He could feel his heart racing; sincerely hoping Nicky wouldn't notice how his body reacted to the gesture. He tried to focus on the movie. For heaven's sake man, pull yourself together. It's not like you're.... you're... It suddenly hit him. He was. He was falling in love with Nicky. But how? What was he going to do now? Tell Nicky and risk their friendship?
"You give me strength
You give me hope
You give me someone to love, someone to hold
When I'm in your arms, I need you to know
I've never been, never been
This close"
Nicky could feel every muscle in his body tense as Shane placed his arm around him. His heart was racing, his body at the verge of shaking with lust. His breath was getting heavier. Suddenly, all the depressed feelings were gone. He found a comfort in Shane's embrace he'd never felt before. That's when he knew it was for real. When he realised Shane was all he ever needed.
Shane couldn't help but embrace Nicky. He tried to make it casual, hoping that Nicky wouldn't notice the tenseness in his body. The way his body, his mind, his heart screamed for more. He knew it right then. Nicky wasn't just his soul mate in a friendly way. He was *the* person he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. Hold on, Nicky was the *man* wanted to spend the rest of his life with. Which could cause a few complications. Because Nicky was definitely straight. He'd have told him otherwise, wouldn't he?
"With all the loves I used to know
I kept my distance, never let go
But in your arms I know I'm safe
Cause I've never been held and
I've never been kissed in this way
You're all I'll ever need, you're all I'll ever need"
Nicky looked up at Shane. Shane looked back at him, and their eyes locked for a moment. "I love you Shane." Nicky whispered his voice full of passion, lust, and love. Nicky's words shocked even himself. Where did that come from? He hoped to God Shane didn't hear that.
Shane was shocked. "What did you just say?" he whispered back.
Nicky shrugged nervously, "Nothing, nothing at all."
Shane didn't want to leave it. "No, you said you... do you?"
Nicky was surprised at how calm Shane sounded. He nodded, looking up at Shane, who had no expression at all on his blank face.
"Shane, I'm sorry, I, I don't know what came over me." Nicky tried. "I'm sorry I-"
He was shocked when he was cut off by Shane's kiss, rather than some kind of tantrum. A few seconds passed before he came to his senses and replied to the kiss, passionately. His head spinning, all kinds of thoughts and emotions rushing through it.
Shane couldn't believe what Nicky just said. He must've imagined because it was what he wanted to hear at that very moment. He asked anyway, just to make sure. When Nicky confirmed the fact he didn't know what to do. All those emotions overcame him. Finally, he came back to his senses. He leant down to kiss Nicky, as he tightened his embrace. Afraid this would only be a dream. Afraid Nicky would slip away again. He still wasn't really sure what was happening. All he knew was that it felt right, and it was more wonderful than anything he'd ever experienced before.
"You give me strength
You give me hope
You give me someone to love, someone to hold
When I'm in your arms I need you to know
I've never been, never been
This close"
Nicky couldn't stop himself now. No one had ever, not even once, turned him on in this way before. He locked his arms around Shane's neck, in a bid for him not to let go. Unfortunately, two grown men don't exactly fit on a small sofa. Especially not when they're doing... well, what they were doing.
"The bed..." Nicky managed to let out as they hit the floor. Shane nodded, as he picked Nicky up and placed him on his bed. Nicky moaned with pleasure as Shane's hands started to play on his body, slowly undoing the buttons of his shirt. Shane's lips covering him in kisses. This was better than anything that had ever happened to him, or even his wildest imaginations. This was like heaven.
Shane couldn't believe how turned on he was. Not even when they rolled to the floor did he want to let go. He'd picked Nicky up before, and this time he had no problem at all, his body fuelled by passion. He'd never made love to a man before. He'd never even kissed a man before. Never loved a man before... But, this felt so right. He just went with it. Wondering if Nicky would notice. Had he had gay lovers before? The feeling overcame him, his hands rushing over Nicky's body. Wanted to touch everything at once. Just feel him, taste him. Nicky moaned and it just made him go even crazier. Longing to fulfil both Nicky's, and his own needs.
"Close enough to see it's true
Close enough to trust in you
Closer now that any words can say"
Nicky rested his head back against Shane's chest. He could feel Shane's heart beat, his heavy breathing. Just the same as his own. He was truly exhausted now. He'd never thought Shane was that good in bed. He blushed. Shane was good in bed. He thought the thought over. Maybe Shane had had gay lovers before? Nicky certainly hadn't. He hadn't kissed a guy. Hadn't loved a guy. Had never felt turned on buy a guy. Not until last night, at least.
Shane looked at Nicky. He caught his cheeks turning a shade of crimson."Are you regretting it?" he whispered, unsure of his own feelings.
Nicky shook his head with determination. "No, not a single moment of it. Do you?"
Shane shook his head, "No." He didnt regret it. He wasn't sure what had happened, but he was sure you couldnt regret something that felt so right.
"And, when, when I'm in your arms I need you to know
I've never been, I've never been this close"
Suddenly something hit Nicky. "Shane, what are we going to do now? What happens between us? What are we going to tell everyone else?"
Shane shrugged. "I honestly don't know. All I know is I don't want to end it here."
Nicky was so happy to hear those words. "Neither do I."
Shane pulled him closer, "I guess we'll just have to face whatever happens now. I don't know about you, but I don't care. I'd go through anything for this.... for you.... for us." Nicky was too happy to answer. All he could do was kiss Shane as a sign of approval.
Shane couldn't believe how lucky he was. There was just one thing triggering his mind. "Nicky, why didn't you tell me... you were..." He still couldn't quite say the word, not really wanted to admit the fact that he was, they both were.
Nicky rolled over a little, so he could face Shane properly. "I didn't know. I just realised last night."
Shane nodded understandingly, "So did I..."
Nicky nodded as he lay his head back on the pillow and drifted off to sleep. Shane watched him, listened to his breath change as he drifted off. He couldn't believe what had happened last night. He'd always wondered what true love is like. When you love someone really much and you know they love you back just as much. Now he knew the answer. He rested his head on the pillow, falling asleep with a smile spread across his lips.
"You give me strength
You give me hope
You give me someone to love, someone to hold
When I'm in your arms, I need you to know
I've never been, never been
This close"
