Nicky took a deep breath of the crisp air. It had started to snow, and he was enjoying every moment of the peaceful setting. The record company had given them 2 days in a little cabin in a ski-resort in the north of Sweden, before they were due back into the recording studio. It was just what they needed; to relax.

He walked around, singing to himself. "Sleigh bells ring, are you listening, in the lane snow is glistening…" he forgot the words and started to hum instead.

"Hey!" a voice interrupted him. He turned around and found Kian running towards him, waving. He reached Nicky and stopped to catch his breath, hanging against his shoulder.

"Hi," Nicky said with a little smile, "I thought you didn’t feel like going out?"

Kian tried to look suffering, "Well, if you had to spend any length of time in a cabin with the other three, you’d be convinced to go out too. I really didn’t feel like going over to my own room and just sit there."

Nicky smiled, "Ok, I was thinking about walking down to the little wood over there, ok?"

Kian nodded, "Anything if it keeps me away from the others."

They walked on in silence, the snow falling heavy from the sky. They reached the trees and walked in under them, finding a big rock to sit down on.

Nicky breathed in deeply. "It’s lovely weather, isn’t it?"

"Mmmm… a bit cold…" Kian’s voice was muffled as he had taken his scarf up over his nose and mouth.

Nicky smiled, "You big wimp."

"Hey, mind your words!" Without warning, Kian jumped on to Nicky, and they both fell off the rock and rolled around in the snow, laughing. A play fight wasn’t very easy in their bulky clothes, but it was good fun. Kian got a handful of snow and shoved it in Nicky’s face before sitting up, watching him splutter.

"This is war Ki!" Nicky exclaimed and made snowball, throwing it at Kian, hitting his shoulder. Kian laughed and threw one back. It went on till Nicky caught Kian, took down his scarf and shoved snow into his face. They were both flustered from the cold and just looked at each other for a while.

"We’re behaving like kids," Kian stated.

"Mmmmm…" Nicky said.

"You ever wish you were a kid again?" Kian asked.

"Nope," Nicky replied with a grin, "If I was I wouldn’t be able to do this." He leaned forward and gave Kian a peck on the lips.

It wasn’t even a proper kiss, but Kian felt his senses numbing and craving more. They were both silent and just looked at each other. Suddenly, Kian flung his arms around Nicky’s neck and kissed him passionately.

It took a few seconds before Nicky composed himself and replied to the kiss, but when he did it wasn’t like anything any of them had ever experienced before. As they pulled away they both felt completely drained.

Nicky licked his lips; "You’re a good kisser."

Kian blushed slightly, "Well, so are you." Nicky smiled.

Kian shivered and Nicky placed his arm around him. "Let’s go into the cabin and continue this…"

Kian just nodded and followed Nicky down towards the cabin, feeling excited and expectant about what would happen when they got there.
