A
delightful family film set in the woodlands of the South of England in the late
1940s. Phillip and Ruth are staying with their rather strict Aunt whilst their
parents are abroad. Ruth being impetuous and outspoken is often getting into
trouble of one kind or another. Building a secret hideout in the woods, the
children meet Terry, a gypsy boy who shares the secrets of the forest with
them. The sickness and death of Terry after falling from a tree causes Ruth to
ask many challenging questions of her friend Mr. Tandy, a local shepherd. This
moving film is ideal for audiences of all ages.
