- cooling water inlet open (shut off cock oopen when ready to start) 
- fuel filters 
- oil level & filter 
- fuel capacity (nav planning)

 Galley/Provisioning -
- Water capacity 
- Storage capacity for provisions  - cooking means and shut off (ie. propane sshut off) 
- Refrigeration or cool box 

 Electrical -
- Battery capacity 
- Shut offs and selector switches  - Breakers for every circuit 
- recharging means and capacities (ie alterrnator size, solar cell capacity, etc.) 

 Radios -
- VHF working and quality 
- Weather forecast reception means (WeatherrFax, Navtex, or equiv.) 
- SSB for blue water passages 

 Safety Gear -
- Fire Extinguishers (charged and in servicce date) 
- Rescue gear, floats, MOB lights  - boarding ladders, or means 
- Flares (in service)
