| A wispy aura of white surrounds him slowly, casting out more light and giving him a other worldly appearance. He may hold the ball of light however long he needs, and the energy surrounding him keeps black magic from harming him. When he brings his arm up and points his open hand at someone he needs to recite the words Helix of Light to fully activate the spell. Once activated there is little that may stop this release of mystical power. Three spiraling beams of red, green, and blue leave his hand and merge into a almost unstoppable beam of pure power. The target of the spell is often destroyed, along with nearly everything around it, anyone that uses dark magic is horribly burned, and all magic in the area ceases to work. The area becomes a magically dead zone until the caster has recovered fully. This spell ages Raiden visibly by three years and almost completely drains him. He cannot do much spell casting over the next few days and must rest shortly afterward. If cast with Gaia near by then they both appear to be casting the spell and each may cast it separately or together, something Raiden guesses nothing would stand against. Angels Wings- This incantation creates glowing feathered angel wings which blossom from his back, often tearing whatever clothes he might have on. The wings are soft and warm to the touch, but belie two very impressive uses. The wings can be used to shield himself and up to three other people from harm, as long as the attacks do not come from below. The wings, if closed then snapped open, can fling razor sharp feathers. Raiden selects how many and where they go. This spell may be cast upon another person, but only one. He cannot use this spell while that other person has the wings, but can cancel it at will, no matter the distance. Healing Beneficence- By speaking a incantation related to the injury he can heal someone, cure disease, insanity, ease a broken heart, or even revive those dead for less then fifteen minutes as long as their bodies are mostly intact. The more healing he does the more it drains him. Reviving someone takes a great deal of his power and ages him by half a year. Appearance: A slender man half a head shorter then most men. His delicate features and high cheek bones make him charmingly handsome, but in a reserved, quite way. His deep azure eyes are sometimes hidden by his short and messy shock white hair. He wears a slightly elaborate, yet simple, outfit of silver white cloth adorned with gems mystically fused to the fabric. Upon his bow is a ornate head hand made of gold, silver, and the gems also fused to his clothing. Personality: Raiden is like many men, he laughs, he cries, he smiles, he enjoys, he hates. But the death of both his wife and then the loss of his daughter have cast a shadow over this once happy soul. There is a sadness and loss in his eyes the depth of which few can fathom. In some ways he still mourns the loss of both, and fights to preserve the unity of what family he has left. He is a patient and careful man, rarely doing anything with a single reason. History: Raidens history and legend spans millennia and is told far and wide upon Aria. He was the first of two Immortals on the Council, which he helped forge with the other members. Some time afterward he fell deeply, passionately, in love with the Dragons first representative, Arindina Feiyalis, and eventually married her. Their daughter, Kaija, was born a short time afterward. It was at this time the Demoness Akumas power began to corrupt and twist her. Many years later his daughter was captured and taken by the now demonic entity that had once so gracefully walked the Councils Halls. While Raiden helped Kiros and Juline flee their now demented family his wife fought her old friend for the life of her daughter. Arindina returned with Kaija clutched protectively in her talons, but was to weak to continue on and died peacefully in her bed with her family around her. A dragon named Kanai Drios replaced his wife on the Council. After the loss of his wife he secluded himself from the council and the affairs of those around him while he grieved his loss. He rejoined the Council in their most dire hour; only to lose his daughter to the creation of the Piros, which disappeared shortly afterward. Raiden let his younger bother take his place on the Council while he again left to grieve, this time leaving the Council perhaps forever. During this time Akuma and her son were sealed and locked away when they attempted to murder their family. It is unknown what Raiden did during this seclusion. Since then Raiden has returned to the Council in the official capacity as Guardian of the Light, a keeper of secrets, the protector of the Council, and perhaps the only man on Aria that can use the Piros. |
