| Akana spoke up after silence had followed Kiley's words to the group, "Everytime we've seen the senshi and knights, they follow your sister, Juline, and a red, elven woman, who goes by the name of Gaia. I'd say everyone would accept the fact she is the one who awakens the senshi's and knights's powers," another silence followed once more, then Kiley's clear, calm voice broke it. "I see.. and their strengths and weaknesses?" "Well.. sir... it's hard to really say.." Akana trailed off, looking down. During fights, she had never analyzed their enemies.. just fought. Lisia spoke up after Akana. "As they are pretty much newly woken to the powers they may posses, after examination of there skills so far. I would say relatively weak due to their clumsiness with the powers. Nevertheless we cannot dismiss their presence.. The faster we take them out the less threat they may soon become. Due to this calculation and from what we know of your sister and the elf Gaia, I'd suggest taking either Gaia or both out first." She spoke clearly and very mechanical, only stopping to let all the information sink in to those who may have needed it before continuing. "Without either one of them the Senshi and Knights will be no more than headless chickens, with no guide and no hope.." "I don't agree," Nari protested. She glanced at Lisia and then back to Kiley. "With all do respect, your sister was the one who put you and your mother away single handedly. I doubt anyone of us can take your sister if you can't. I suggest we analyze the senshi, find out there weaknesses and send one of us that is the opposite of them. You don't take a fire out by using fire, you suppress it with water. We need to play on their weaknesses." Lisia suddenly had a very spiteful look about her, quickly turning her head to see who it was that was disagreeing with her. Listening to Nari's protest she understood her angle and calmly turned back to look once again at Kiley, the spiteful look changing automatically back to her normal self. "This is also true but seeing and recording our experience on the battle field, neither time has Juline herself has intervened and knowing roughly the extent of both Gaia and your sisters powers, it's wise to use caution when getting rid of them. Surely it would be best to at least try and hit them were it hurts before just knocking them off one by one?" It was then that Kaos spoke up "It is obvious that both Juline and Gaia are threats, but nor should we neglect the senshi and knights. We should send...spies, they must of course be clouded from Gaia's power and they must also be extremely patient. Anything less would give us away. Neutral elements are also a good idea, but we should gather adequate information first." He said, rolling his head back to pop his neck. He then faced Nari and Lisia acknowledging them and their ideas. "But my opinion is only my opinion, it is for Kiley to decide, and for us to follow orders. Also, Kiley my lord, Jazon should be returning soon with some information on how powerful Gaia is." Christoph soon found his way to Kileys Lair. He passed through dark sometimes very frightening halls even to Kileys followers. He made toward the throne room and waited until Kiley acknowledged him in the open doorway. Jazon soon saw the dark lair of Kiley and swooped down toward transforming into human form as he approached and then entered. He went to the throne room to report his news to Kiley. Loki walked toward Gaia and the others. "Well, he will definitely be back. He was here to gather information. Otherwise we would have seen the full extent of his power. We are probably lucky he didn't recognize me. We have had a few scraps in the past. He begrudges me for beating him in a sword duel. Airyu should remember I believe she was there, maybe You to Kamui. Or were the two of you gone at the time?" He asked explaining his earlier sarcasm of them being friends. Terra glanced at the group and the girl. "By how can you tell?" she asked the elf in disbelief. She saw the powers the group had but she never believe that she would be among this group. She glanced slightly over to her friend and guardian. Then turned her glances back to the elf. Flamus sighed, looking to Gaia, as she became Yasmine again, "All of that to get another senshi..." Gaia smiled warmly, "Your inner light shining through, is one way to put it. But.. if you doubt it so much, merely utter the words, 'Aria Diris Power, Make-up', and then judge for yourself." Kiley listened to the debate, a somewhat bored expression on his face, as he rested his chin in his clawed hand with his elbow resting on the arm of his throne. His eyes caught sight of Christoph, as he silenced the others by greeting the only warrior he considered family, "Welcome Christoph.. we've been discussing my dear sister and her followers, including the one called Gaia. Jazon should be here soon to give his report, before I decide whom and when we attack." "Yes, I remember that battle." Kamui answered, "It was quite extraordinary the way in which he fell so defiantly to your sword. He vowed then to seek his vengeance upon you.." He continued piecing bits of information together.. always the deep thinker. "Great.. So that's the sort of higher force we'll have to deal with once we get to our final battle, if we get there.." Airyu grumbled under her breath. Nari watched the others intently and listened to the bickering before Kiley had derisively silenced them. Nari looked to see where Kiley's eyes had settled and saw Christoph, the rugged mutt. She inwardly felt scorn for him, not because of his crossbred race, but because he was the only one that could hold Kiley's attention long. She suddenly noticed that in all the time Christoph was part of Kiley's soldiers, she had never bothered to talk to him. Tonight, she decided if plans went slowly, she would talk, find out what he had hidden up is sleeve, what he knew that kept him in Kiley's lap. She wouldn't admit it, but she was green with envy. He had power, and she desperately wanted it. Christoph entered the throne room with little hesitation. He had a slight smirk on his face as he passed the others in the room, until he reached the foot of Kileys throne. "Yes, I know. Truth be known, Nevarra and Juline have been on my thoughts as well. I may be able to get Nevarra to come over to our side, and possibly destroy their chances of defeating you at the same time, Kiley." He spoke in his soft but authoritive tone, showing that he respected but did not fear his former brother in-law. "And Jazon should be here within the next few moments. I saw him preparing to land when I arrived." Jazon was soon at the door to the throne room. He immediately entered and approached Kiley, ignoring the others in the room. "I have come with both good and bad news." He said kneeling. "First, the good news is that I have found that the red elf is most definitely the one bringing the Senshi and Knights together. The bad news is, she is much stronger than Juline, and has recruited a few more senshi and knights. To attack her directly we will need more than one of our strongest men." "Yes, he did." Loki said in a worried tone. "But he didn't have his new friends at the time. We may have to fight the strongest Kiley has if we are to fight to protect Gaia again." He continued, he then quickly added "Not that you couldn't handle them yourself Gaia. We just don't really know." Jazon walked in, his speech bringing the good and bad news about the supposed enemy. Nari decided to have a little talk, she was beginning to get flustered with the meeting. Telepathically, she started to speak. So Mr. Shadow, I see we are having a little trouble with the ladies. Come on now, this elf woman can't be that powerful or were you not trying hard enough?" |
