| Chapter 4: "Mother and Daughter" Intro for: Akuma, Jazon, Christoph, Ana, Kaos, Nari, Sailor Diris, Sailor Refle, and Kiley ---------------------------------------- Juline glanced to Nevarra next to her on horseback, her daughter and now a discovered senshi, as she rode her horse. She was glad to be able to have her beside her through the journey, but Nevarra fighting.. she disapproved of. Juline couldn't do anything about it though, it was destiny.. plus Gaia had gotten somewhat angry at the suggestion of leaving Juline's daughter behind. Yasmine walked quietly, her eyes looking about Liaya as the group used the main road through the small town. It sounded like they would use the port, but the fire senshi would just have to wait and see where they ended up. She glanced over to Lantis, his eyes scanning over the town as well in silence. Yasmine could guess the knight felt like she did.. a little paranoid.. maybe just curious, about what was going to happen next. Gaia walked behind the group, wearing a black cloak with the hood up and hiding her features. Enough attention was being brought to the group as it was, so there was definitely no need to add more to it. Two more senshi, she hoped, would be what they would find here. A dark figure walked to a twisted throne lit by only two torches on either side of it, the rest of the room pitch black except for those torches and two near the doorway leading into the room. The figure sat, resting his arms on the throne, the firelight reflecting off of metallic claws and gauntlets. In one of the reflections of the gauntlets, a pale woman appeared, her lips twisted into a cruel, sinister smirk. Kiley and Akuma, awaiting the arrival of their army. Terra sighed as she walked the streets of Liaya. Jeremiah had sent her to run, yet again, another arraign. She yawned as she walked. Her friend Jace spotted her on the street and ran over to join her. "Another errand run?" he asked. Terra nodded her head and started to complain, "I'm tired and hungry." Jace shook his head laughing. "You're always tired and hungry." he said. "I know." Terra said with a smile, "Watch it." Jace didn't notice but bumped in to a woman wearing a black cloak. "Sorry Miss." Jace said. Terra waited for him and then turned on her heel and walked off. Jace smiled at the woman and took off after Terra. "WAIT UP!" he yelled as he finally caught up with her. "Hi Mr. Toshi." she said as she entered her destination. "Jeremiah want me to give you this. He'd said he'd forgotten it when I ran the errands yesterday." she said handing him an envelope. "Hello Terra. Tell him thank you." Mr. Toshi said, "Hello Jace. Planning on getting in to trouble again?" Jace looked at the old man. "Maybe." he replied to the old man's question. Terra nodded and glance around the room. "Well I'm off. Have more things to deliver when I get back to the boat." she said as she waved good-bye. Jace was first to disappear then her. She saw the woman with the feathered hood that Jace had bumped in to and had a strange feeling but shrugged it off. Kamui was also taking in the surroundings, looking with great interest at the people and the buildings. He had been here once before, a long, long time ago and it seemed like nothing had changed even after so long. Celes walked just behind her father and though the place was completely new to her, she didn't hold the same interest for it as he had. Looking to the ground or to the other members of the extended group she continued following. A monitor beeped repeatedly as a red dot flashed on a map in a brightly lit room. Lisia sat next to it wearing gloves and protective glasses as she worked on one of her countless inventions far superior to any other machines that hardly existed in this world. After a few more adjustments she got up from the chair, taking off the glasses and gloves and looking quickly to the monitor "Hmm.." The only sound she made as she walked out of the room and down the twisted hallway to meet her master. Adding a touch of gloss to her red lips Dandria smiled, happy to be back home and near Kiley once again. Checking her figure once again, she turned happily and skipped out of her quarters heading for his chamber...the Throne room. Nari wore the darkness like a cloak and watched with little amusement as Dandria skipped off merrily to see Kiley. She was almost sickened at how excited Dandria seemed to be. Nari emerged just behind her and landed quietly on her feet and then placed her ashen wings behind her. "Dandria, don't you have anything better to do than trying to impress Kiley?" Nari said. If the words were spoken through mouth they would have echoed off the walls of the hall, but instead Nari choose to speak with telepathy in an attempt to keep the conversation between them. Gaia stopped, watching a young girl and her friend who had bumped into her race off. Her eyes seemed to light up, a slight smirk coming to her lips. While the others continued their journey, she'd get one of the two senshi she had hoped to locate. Letting the group get ahead of her, she slipped into one of the narrow alleyways nearby, leaping up to the rooftops. She could keeps tabs on the new senshi, reveal who she was easier and bring less problems to the group. For now, the red elf followed Terra and the young man from the rooftops, being careful to stay back and keep her cloak's hood up until she felt it was the right time to reveal all. Akana emerged from her quarters, knowing full well she would be getting in the most trouble of all of Kiley's army. Each mission where she had taken people with her to obey his commands, she had failed miserably. And she had no excuse to make matters worse.. Oh well, it was time to face their leader. She continued walking, heading towards the throne room in silence. Kiley sat, tapping his clawed fingers on the throne, "Mother..?" His cold voice asked the silent darkness. "Yes..?" Akuma's voice echoed throughout the room, sounding distant compared to her son's. "I should pass judgment on the failures, should I not?" "Indeed. You know that. Just don't grow too angry with them.. they can still have redemption," Akuma stated. "Oh, I know.. I know.." His claw went still, "I'll be less harsh depending on what I hear.. such as, how strong these 'warriors' being collected by my dear sister are.. how they're being gathered.." Kiley trailed off, going silent again. "Then we'll decide their fates from there," a cruel smirk came to his lips, matching the usual one displayed on his mother's. Dandria stopped in her tracks, hearing the words in her head. "Hello Nari...so good to hear you." She snidely remarked. "For your information I'm not trying to do anything apart from showing him true affection." She replied quietly back remaining towards Nari. Lisia emerged from a darkened passage and walked next to Akana. Remaining silent for a moment she then spoke, "You should not look so worried Akana. Kiley will probably act more on what we say to him. Say positive things and he should give us another chance, say negative things and he will punish us severely." |
