| Lantis came out of a store, a bag of items he had just purchased slung over his shoulder. He looked around, as a hand tapped him on the shoulder. He turned, checking to see who it was and saw a cloaked figure. "Can I help you?" He asked, wondering who in the world this was. "In fact, yes. Stay in town and don't head off yet. You're going to meet some interesting people." "I don't listen to fotune tellers.." He turned and started to walk away, when a red hand gripped him on the shoulder again. Gaia stepped up beside him. "I'm no fortune teller.. otherwise I'd be charging you. Just stay in Narya for a bit longer, it'll be worth the wait..." She smiled, as Lantis looked to her, seeing the elven features under the hood of the cloak. "Who are you..?" "Someone who knows what's best and will make her formal introductions later. Until then, I suggest staying here," Gaia let him go, then went back to where she was standing. Lantis blinked at her, then sat down, deciding to stay. Gaia's eyes went from him to the two women sitting outside and talking over some drinks. *Kiley must've gotten a clue that Juline was up to something.. or else Akuma told him..* Akana's eyes glanced to Celes and Ruman, as she tossed some of her dark hair over a shoulder, "Let them be curious.. we've no interest in them." Celes looked back at the two females then looked around for her father while awaiting an answer from the, somehow, familiar guy. Phulan gave a shrug of her shoulders and silently followed the group. She sighed inwardly as she started to realize that it was just going to get larger...not smaller. Ruman looked down at Celes and grined "Name's Ruman Caliber. Sorry for being a bit curious, but I was wondering what a kid like you is doing out here alone? Narya's a big place, hell even I get lost sometimes." Pansha just gave an apathetic shrug "That is true." "My name is Celes, Nice to meet you. I'm not here alone, I'm trying to find my father." Celes answered politely. "I guess you know this place pretty well." Juline rode into town, following Yasmine silently, stopping as Yasmine stopped and looked about. Juline dismounted, her eyes searching for Gaia, as she looked to Phulan, Kia, and Iviana, "Rest for awhile, till we find Gaia.." "Actually, I'm right here," Gaia said from behind Juline, the hood on her cloak pulled down, Lantis standing behind her, "Found this young man, who will need an explanation. Got two more too, if you'll wait..." "Um... I supp--" Juline started, but was cut off. "Great, stay," Gaia moved away from the group, heading over towards both Ruman and Celes. Lantis looked quizzically at the group, keeping silent, unsure of how to react. He knew he should've walked away from that weird woman. Akana caught sight of Juline, then saw the red elf approach the kids in front of herself and Pansha. Turning to her teammate, "And how to start this off? With verbal attacks, or regular ones?" Iviana blinked, then couldn't help but giggle at the scene between Juline and Gaia. "That was pretty damn funny if ya ask me." She whispered to Phulan, then looked down at the ground. "Huh? Kia?" Iviana asked, looking for the little elf. "Here." Kia said, who had run up to Lantis and was handing him a wild flower. "They smell pretty." She said, pushing dirt around with her toe. Iviana shook her head, dismounting and picking Kia up. "Good ice-breaker there kiddo." Iviana laughed, tickling Kia. From the corner of her eye, Celes saw a red elven figure walking towards her and Ruman. "Looks like you're not the only one who's curious in this town." She said to Ruman. Looking further, behind the elven woman, she saw a mixed crowd but continued to remain focused on the approaching figure. Phulan gave a smirk and nodded to Iviana "That it was..." She then watched the younger elf and smiled "Yeah, thanks kid..." She then walked up to Lantis and extended a hand, "Name's Phulan, what's yours?" Ruman was about to reply to Celes but he looked over to where Celes was. Watching the strange elf he furrowed his eyebrows. "There's a different wind blowing today..." He murmers to himself. Something was going to happen, that, he was sure off. Pansha smirked as she watched the group. "How's this, one of us, throws an attack, but not hit them, just to get their attention you know. Once we have that, we can go for the verbal, then start to attack 'em the normal way. This way we can do both, no?" Celes saw Ruman turn and mutter something to himself. All she caught of it was 'wind' and as she thought about it, she felt the wind blowing differently. It seemed to be heavy and anxious. She then realized that the energy she felt before was from the group behind the cloaked elf and that the two women above her where of an energy she remembered deep from her past. Lantis took Phulan's hand after a moment, "I'm Lantis... I take it you have an idea of what's going on?" Yasmine chuckled at Kia, walking over to the young elf and Iviana, "You guys all friends, or something?" She asked with a smile. Gaia smiled warmly to Ruman and Celes, "Excuse me for interrupting your conversation, but, I do believe I have someone you might need to meet. We'll call it a 'date with destiny' in a sense, as the others behind me are going to find out before too long." Akana smiled, "Allow me to start this off then..." She closed her eyes, standing up slowly from her seat, turning to face the small gathering. Akana touched the gem on her forehead, speaking, "Illusion's.." Her words seemed to cause her appearance to change for a quick second into her dragon form, as she yelled "Beam!" The gem then fired a beam charged with electrical energy at the ground before Ruman, Gaia, and Celes. "Sorry for the sudden surprise, but I take it you all are part of Juline's group.. and that.. can't be allowed." Juline watched Akana, then looked to Iviana and Phulan, "Those must be some of the people working with Kiley... get ready to fight, while Gaia and I get everyone else away and explain what's going on. You'll have help, hopefully, before too long." |
