Breathe
1.27.05
I can’t breathe
Turn on the radio and we’ll listen
To a million old songs, their chemistry forgotten
Or at least unloved
In this tiny corner of the world.
I can’t breathe
Be quiet, you’re giving me an endless headache
I only wish the sun would come out to play again
And the warmth would spread through frozen veins
Dying from this forgotten lack of love.
I can’t breathe
There’s too many thoughts swirling, clouding
Kicking and pounding, you are in my way
If they laugh, it’s at their own stupidity
Get away, I don’t love you.
I can’t breathe
I’m so tired of tracing these words
Until my hands are silvery and dark
Laced with blue and tears
Of a forgotten love deep within this tiny corner of the world.
I can’t breathe
I’m suffocating, and you aren’t listening
You’re too busy screaming about what you don’t have
What do I have?
Tell me that
You seem to have me scripted so perfectly.
I hate you.
<--- fall into my patterened tears... [return]
<---<--- catch me as i fall? [CS]
