A Boy in the Rain
10.07.04
He was always so beautiful
With blue lights dancing around
A thousand sprinkles in his eyes
Every second was a moment of mad laughter
Each held in the palm of his open hand
But he was always so beautiful
Running through streets in blissful dawn
Peaceful dawn, loving dawn
With an asserted smile the world knew
He was right and they were wrong
And everyone was content to play right along
And he was always so beautiful
Playing his games, they made me laugh
He would laugh too, his eyes never grew tired
Each second a new surprise
You could feel the moments fly right by
But everything was alright, within his eyes
And now he’s just a photograph
Staring at me from days long past
He’s just an artifact
Through which his presence lingers
The pieces fall down
Like a thousand butterflies
Doing an intricate dance
But they are not him
This is not his life
He’s just a boy in the rain
Just a boy in pain
Breathe in and out, it’s all the same
Just a boy in the rain.
Do you remember?
That beautiful dawn
When we ran through the streets
We were a thousand colors
Each swirled into one rainbow, beautiful
And the rain washed over you
And the rain washed over me
Do you remember?
The rain falling down...
I will not forget
I will remember until the end of time
I will bleed his memory from my veins
And smile into the rain...
The rain falls down
I am falling
You can’t catch me...
<--- fall into my patterened tears... [return]
<---<--- catch me as i fall? [CS]
