I remember the moments I lied awake
Staring into that icy expanse
The street lights- casting their orange and purple glow
Over the drifting snow
Settling itself into my world

And the ice, it formed hard
Over their hearts
While I watched from behind glass-
As cold as stone
Wondering why the tears had to be so frozen

And do you know that I remember
I remember the night she died
I remember the look in his eyes
I remember the hurt, and it won’t go away

And do you know that I don’t know
I don’t know what it’s like to feel that pain
I don’t know what it’s like to let go of that love
I don’t know what to say, but these memories don’t go away

I remember, but I wish I didn’t
