Taunting softly-
Singing slowly
In my mind

Can you hear them?
Chanting to the night
She beckons them away
They drown in the light

But I am alone
Doomed- I know you’re here
But I can’t see you
I can’t feel you
I can’t touch you
Taste you- smell you- want you
For you are all but gone

Don’t die, don’t leave me here-
Even more confused
I can hear you yet
I just don’t want to be used

Please don’t break me
It’s your job I suppose
But how can something broken-
Ever learn to grow?

Death closes in and it hurts to breath
